actually I did buy Clicked singles best, but not the other ones with the odd covers.
------------------
since Clicked Singles came out just as they were winding up stuff, i think, and even had the one new song, Anemone, on it, that one makes sense. i think L'Arc was completely involved with that whole scheme.
But the "Best of 94-98, Best of 98-2000, and Best of C/W" with the pugly striped covers, those 3 are Sony's contribution i believe. i admit to getting 2 of those early on because i didn't have all the singles, so lacked the C/W songs like Anata no Tame ni or Sai wa nagarereta, which i love, and the 94-98 because i didn't have any of the sakura years discs except Dune. i do now and so they are completely unnecessary.
i guess they are ok for beginners to check out older material, unless they just go, like so many, and DL the whole discography. i just like to have the discs for myself when i can get them.
that was partially why i decided with VAMPS to just go ahead and get the cds, dvds, photobooks etc as they came out. it is so much easier than to try and track them down later when you have to pay up to 3 times the cost of the original price. ^ ^

with L'Arc - I became a fan during the hiatus, so I just started with Clicked, then bought their most recent album, then worked my way backwards to Dune.
It is a lot easier when you become a fan at the beginning. I've been to so many sketchy websites trying to dig up / buy random stuff that would have been so easy if I had, ya know, somehow heard of them in 1993

exactly! that's why i'm treating VAMPS as i am from the get-go. and i realized that while i enjoy the other members solo work, i truly prefer Hyde's efforts overall.
i'm almost ashamed to admit that after buying Ken's In Physical, i've only listened to it maybe 3 times while i play some part of VAMPS' album, if not all of it, daily. i'm more likely to listen to Tierra or ray than anything else though. what can i say? O.O

I tend to get into ruts....right now I am stuck on Faith. But then VAMPS performed many songs from it and I remember the lives.

Yes! what shocks me is that BEST albums are even more expensive than regular ones @_@ it's usually all the way around.

RE: VAMPS merch online
As far as solo stuff .. I really do enjoy all of their solo efforts, but Hyde has so much more stuff, so I think I probably listen to him disproportionately. I am however a rampaging Ken fangirl, so his solo stuff (Ken solo more than S.O.A.P.) gets pretty heavy play as well. After Ken would come yuki's stuff ( I think acid android is absolutely brilliant and so completely different to L'Arc) ... followed by Tetsu / Tetsu69 (which to me sounds like L'Arc with the "Pop" turned all the way up to 11)
I listen to L'Arc most of all. By most of all I mean -- more than any other band by a long shot, not just in comparison to the solo stuff.
I feel like I am derailing this thread, sorry
so on topic -- my Monthly Vamps Volume 13 has arrived in New York, so I should have the behemoth this weekend

RE: VAMPS merch online
Monthly VAMPS 13 is finally here! You could have put a small sheep with it inside of the packing box that cdJapan used.....lol. Lots of stuffing paper.
I LOVE the photo book. I just sat and perused it for a long time. Ah....those sweet faces that we all enjoy so much. I never realized that Ju-ken's tatoos were all dragon related. He has some lovely artwork going on.
So now I have my Sweet Dreams CD/DVD, too.
I am a happy camper....until the bill comes!
