As far as the actual performance itself, it was amazing and the guys were SPEC-FRIGGIN'-TACULAR. As for the crowd, worst damn crowd I've ever been in. I had my hair pulled out, I was kicked repeatedly to move out of the way once the band started playing, and I had this girl's elbow smashing my face for the better part of the first half of the concert.

I stood my ground and held on to the two people in front of me and they were cool with it, and I got to apologize to the bleached blond Japanese girl afterward, and she was so cool about it. She actually told me to keep holding on to her so I wouldn't get pushed back.

I don't remember the setlist, but they did play LOVE ADDICT, I GOTTA KICK START NOW, VAMPIRE DEPRESSION, TROUBLE, LUCY IN THE SKY WITH DIAMONDS, MIDNIGHT CELEBRATION, EVANESCENT... and that's all I really remember.

Hyde was funny, telling everyone he had gambled the night before and lost. He shrugged all cute-like and was like, "Why? Whhhy?" then asked the other members if they had won. Then he teased the crowd by going, "Are you fffff..." *screams* "Are you fuuuuuu..." *more screams* "ARE YOU FUCKING READY?!"

Hyde would get up on the amps in front and there were so many people stroking his thighs, hands, face, and hair, and at first he seemed sort've surprised, but let them do it with a smile on his face. I was second row-ish and he grabbed my hand towards the end. He even spit water on my arm/side of my face.

Aside from getting mauled in the audience, the definite pros of the evening were meeting awesome people in line who we ended up partying with until 6 AM at the Hard Rock this morning. Since we were there hanging out, we got to see all the guys come downstairs around 12 or 1 AM and gamble until about 5 AM, but Ai wouldn't let these two sets of three Japanese girls anywhere near them, until oxymoron and our newest friend, Stacy, just waltzed up to Arimatsu and KAZ and got us autographs. Our other new friend, Laurence, actually got to play Roulette at the same table with them while I stood behind him pretending not to be interested that Hyde and KAZ were less than two inches from me on either side. I even pretended to be on my phone just so I could snag some video XD

I got to meet Yumeko, Usagi, Malicious, Jazmin, Talia... not sure who else. We hung out with Jazmin a little at the Wasted Space bar afterward and her pretty high heels were scuffed. According to oxymoron, the girl who was crying at the table in front of us was iceybabes, and we heard about what happened. I am so sorry, chica. We didn't know it was you, but I feel terrible that the concert was ruined because of other people's stupidity. ALL OF US got beat up. I actually have the imprint of someone's fingers on my arm, I lost a lot of hair, and my legs are still throbbing from trying to ground myself to the floor so I wouldn't be shoved out of the way.

All in all, though the crowd was fucking horrible, we walked away with really awesome new friends, the memory of seeing the guys live after so many long years of being fans, some VAMPS merchandise (one of everything!), some guitar picks, Laurence had Leon (the nice, big black security guard that was in front of KAZ) get him KAZ'S black finger nail from the man himself... long story, but it was priceless, and the funny knowledge that Hyde sucks at Roulette XD

We're actually going to go be tourists now that the show is over and done with. For everyone that was there, I hope you're doing okay today and that you have safe travels. We may be hurting and we may be pissed at the stupid people in the crowd, but we were there and got to see the guys play an awesome show. VIVA LA VAMPS!

EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot they had color-changing cups that said VAMPS they were selling at the bar. Oxymoron apparently got shoved out of the way and the crowd WOULD NOT let her out, so she pushed her way over to the bar and the guy was like, "Did you get a cup yet?" When she said no, he gave her one of every color for free. We were like "... Um, okay, thanks!"

but, i was practically grinded, which was pretty funny XD; i loved this show <333 best night of my life! :D

i tried apologizing to the people i accidentally hit, but it was really loud and i don't think they heard me :/ i feel like a jerk D:

It is one thing to accidently hit someone and stop or try to move a bit so it doesn't happen again. The crappy people are the ones who know they are hurting someone and they just keep doing it for the pleasure of it. Like the one bouncing girl who just kept up on me and the little Japanese girl. She really hurt that girl and she just didn't give a damn.

you just made me feel better about myself ^_^ which japanese girl? one of the ones in the kiminos? THEY were little!

i was afraid for the people with serious asthma issues... that place was FILLED with cigarette smoke! i thought to myself, I'm gonna leave this place with lung cancer!

No, not the ones in the kimonos...they were cute. This one was dressed in regular clothes. And yes, the smoke was bad if it bothers you.

The cups hopefully will be available at L. A. It was originally announced that they were available and you could get one every 45 minutes or so in a different color. The drinks (soda) were $5.50 and that is about what the Wiltern charged for the JRock Revolution live there. So they may show up.......

Thanks for your posts!! I really wish that someone caught some footage. How much did kaz win again?

@iceybabes: OMG! Are you okay?! It's such a small venue, so I can't believe they would be so rough.

@BuddhaLamp: Great story! So sad that Hyde sucks at gambling, but at least kaz is good :)

RE: impressions
The day of the show was perfect! i really hoped the fans tht attended this show thot i did a good job as a leader -_-. i finally got to meet Ai,J, and some of the other ppl helping out. After a lunch break around 3 usagi and i got back to the venue and saw how much the line grew since we hade left!!!! it was crazy!! The doors opened at 7, and after standing for an hour the show started. i was right next to a bouncer which was a benefit in a way bc if ppl pushed me i wouldnt falll so easily. i had to move baack a row bc everyone was either groping or squishing my bf ( the guy with spiky hair, white contacts, n leather pants), so i have to help him also =^.^=
i got to touch hyde twice on the leg!! during the encore we moved to the back to take a break. the concert was awesome, im very sore, got stabbed by this girl in the leg with a pin a few times, and this guy had his elbow in my neck for half the show, but it was still perfect!

we got invited to the vamps after party and the green room, and to go to the mandalay bay with them to eat dinner, but decided not to since we are 18.

The next day i was leaving the hotel around 11, but my dad took along time bc he insisted on having a starbucks before we left. THIS WAS THE BEST PART OF MY TRIP! my dad saw "some asians" leaving from the hotel and it just so happened to be the band. so i went to go get my leader shirt. there was this other fan there but she was psycho n grabbing n hugging them really rude. so hyde decided to give me an autograph first and i got a picture with him also, but again those fans were trying to pull him away from me. i got an autograph and picture with K.A.Z also, he insisted on taking the pic with a cool background so we walked around to find one =^.^=

after hyde was groped again by the psycho fans, he told them they couldnt have a picture THEY GOT MAD! then hyde shook my, i said thanks and bye. ( i bet they liked me better bc i was actually asking nicely if i can get a pic n stuff) well anyway like i said it was perfect!!!

Good for you!!! I'm so happy you got to meet them and talk to them.
I think that Hyde seriously underestimated some of the fans and their behavior when he planned this tour.....this is just my opinion. He is used to the Japanese who can get pushy but nothing like Americans who can get downright rude. I'm glad those "fans" didn't ruin your time with the them.

Did he look mad? Could you understand him ok? What did he say to them? I'm sure he has a lot of experience handling these things.

So funny about KAZ looking for a cool background......that's not the first time I've heard of him or Ju-Ken doing that.

Doesn't anybody ever give poor Jin any love? Icon_blaugh

the closest thing to mad was when hyde got hugged by this guy and telling him n his gf tht they couldnt have a pic. hyde didnt talk much he would just say thank you or bow and shake hands. kaz was way more open.
