I always have a problem with street teams, and thus why I never involve myself with them. I'm just a nice person who doesn't care about band acknowledge, power, or what have you, but just my offering help to actually promote good music gets me into trouble because everyone thinks everyone else is out to get something and you get snubbed for absolutely no reason—which has been my past experience with VAMPS fans.

If I promote them, I do it on my on time, my own way, with a small group of friends. It may not be professional, but it's the passion of the music and getting it out there that drives us. We don't care for a "thank you" or anything of the sort, we're just glad to get the word around and maybe introduce a few new fans (which was the case with VAMPS 2009 and 2010—and I got to meet Tokio finally ). Reading on the FB page, it looks like they are asking fans to help whenever they receive whatever materials. Although, I do think throwing "fangirls" in there was just kind of... not right. Because in reality, they're fans and they're girls. Female fans get bad reps because of psycho stalkers and should never all be lumped together as "fangirls."

I've known several female fans who have worked with Japanese artists, but it's like Tokio said, it's about trustworthy people. It would be highly uncomfortable for an artist to try to work with someone when that person is screaming "OMGILOVEYOUIWANNAHAVEYOURBABIES!!!!" and spreading confidential information via [insert social networking site] or texting their BBF about it >_> I heard from different people that something similar happened to J, where his private cell phone number was given out. Don't know if that's actually true or not, but still. I don't know about you guys, but I certainly would not want to work in that environment or even represent the U.S., if I knew private or secret info was being thrown all over the place.

As far as adding more shows, I'm on the fence about that. I just don't see them only doing one U.S. show, because they know not all of their fans can make it to NYC. I'm an East Coast-er, so I'm grateful, but I agree that it sucks for the West Coast-ers if they don't. It wouldn't be "WORLD TOUR (and more...)" if they were doing more Japan shows after the already listed dates, right? Wouldn't that be just another national tour, completely seperate? But then, maybe they'll just be adding more places, like Chile or something. We won't know until they announce (and I'm talking about the band, not the street team).

Overall, regardless of who's promoting or whether or not more shows will be added at a later date, I think we should all just be happy that the band has made it 20 years. Not a lot of bands do. We should also celebrate that L'Arc will be the first Japanese band to perform a full, solo concert at Madison Square Garden, making history that night.

Rejoice in the music and your love of the band, ladies and gentleman. Do not dwell on the conflicts, whatever they may be.

Yes, hi, I am alive, sorry, just very busy with school. I need to properly read through this thread and reply, that's why I didn't want to post anything yet, I've just glimpsed at the posts.

Angel & I in process of contacting the tour manager/our contact and hoping to get more about promo materials, etc. within the next few days. (The woman we are contacting was just abroad for a few weeks, so it was hard to get in contact, even over email.)

As of right now, we don't know when tickets for NYC are going on sale.
I got that email regarding London, Paris and Taiwan as well... I assume the website will send out an email when NYC tickets go on sale. But I've checked, L'Arc isn't even listened on Ticketmaster yet, under MSG or The Theater at MSG. If I find anything out, I will let you all know. As far as I know, The Theater is completely seated. (The main section of MSG has GA area...but Theater seems to only have seats.)

I know some of what Angel said you to, Tokio, regarding fan projects, and me personally, I'm of the opinion we SHOULD help. Both of us may not be able to execute fully, but that's why we will have a team and people to help with a project or such. We'll need to discuss this, but I, Missy, will help out with that how I can - you all just may have better suggestions and ways to execute, but we have time to discuss that aspect.

I just want the Street Team to be a page, and people (Angel & myself) you can go to if you want to know how to help to promote, what you can do, where we need people (we want to promote obviously not just in New York, but all over. Heavy focus on the east coast (NYC, Baltimore, DC, Philly, Boston, VA areas, etc. etc.) but also in other cities, Chicago, LA, San Fran, Texas - because people will travel, and we know this.
NYC is the only USA date.
There is nothing else planned. This is what I have been told, and what I am telling you all. (I think the same - why not have a west coast show? But this is how it is. This is what their management has decided.)
So if you want to see them... it's NYC or Europe (or China, or Japan, or...you get the point.) Our focus is America. NYC. So that is what we will do.

I hope I covered some questions/concerns...
I really just want us all to work together and we need to promote this show and sell it out. We need to show the world that this Japanese band has a strong, dedicated fanbase who can sell out a world known venue.

I, personally, don't care about fan projects (banners, book, etc) I had only asked about that because I know you did some of that before. It also gives people something to do in line.

The part that threw me off was her saying bands shouldn't work with fans. People in the music business are fans (hence, why they chose that industry) and she herself said she's a fan. Well, she said they shouldn't work with 'fangirls' but in my opinion a fangirl is just a fan who is a girl. Nothing to do with how professional or trustable that person is. Anyone who is a female and a fan of anything, I will consider them a fangirl (and same for fanboy).

The thing with MSG is, you don't really need to line up. It's seated, so people only really need to line up an hour or so before doors (suggested line up time, from MSG, so everybody can file in orderly, etc.). So in that sense, there is a line but it wouldn't be HOURS of waiting as we've before for VAMPS, just one hour before going in and sitting down. But it's something to think about.

I agree with you, my thinking is the same. Everyone is a fan. If we weren't, nobody would be in this business. You have to be a fan and care to want to do it, to do anything like this...
