But seriously, yeah, I love old L'Arc. I love L'Arc~en~Ciel's newer work too, but the style is just so much more... well, stylistic and unique in old L'Arc. Even if you've never heard the song, you'd automatically know it's L'Arc by the sound of Tetsu and Ken's compositions and HYDE's unique vocal technique, which was not at all professional, but it sounded amazing nevertheless. New L'Arc is amazing as well, but it sounds too much like American pop and alternative rock.
Granted, I don't mind them having American influence. I don't like extremely generic J-pop either, but I'm saying that I preferred L'Arc as they once were: Imaginative and not afraid to go outside of what was largely considered normal in a song. I mean, I've never known just shouting into a mic would produce such a beautiful sound until Natsu No Yuutsu ~time to say goodbye~. Ah, great song. I feel like listening to it again now. X3

Yeah, there's a lot less "uhhhs" and "ahhhs" now. Also, Ken doesn't wail like he's gunning for the cover of Guitar Player magazine. Still fond of both, though.
Well, I have a unique perspective because I liked Hyde's solo stuff way before L'Arc, but to me.....they're like 2 different bands that I really really like (pre and post-True).
Poor Sakura, if they'd been anywhere but Japan, people would've just been like "so what?".

Well, yes, we all make mistakes :-( But he's doing fine nowadays :-D Maybe if there had not been such a cow back then, he might have ended up not-so-fine like all those talented people that met a sad end because of abuse of drugs, the good thing is all of them kept on going.

Yeah, he could have been in either China or Korea....then he would still be locked up.
I will risk getting stomped on here...but then we would not have Yuki. And I personally love Yuki.

Nah, I love Yuki too. Songs like Nexus 4 & Link wouldn't be the same without him, not to mention Larvae & Butterfly's Sleep...and where would we be without "ONE TWO THREE FOOOOAH!!"??
Plus, he has the added distinction of not smoking crack and fighting cops in his underwear.

We also would not have "Trick" that I personally love. What a performance during the GCC tour!! And where else can you be "incapicity"? lol
On another note, to anyone who reads this who is Japanese. Who is the figure skater on the Bless PV at 3:10? (Besides Hyde's brother) Damn is he cute or what? I think I may be supporting the Japanese figure skating team during the Olympics this year.
