I think the sunset was beautiful, but the view (hyde) in front was more. :-D (i can see the sunset everyday, but i can't actually see hyde everyday, although i wish i could.)
If you freeze the very beginning of the youtube clip (0:00)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQA0Hbo8Po8& (tracycoder, thank you for the link.) :-)
you'll notice the audience was in a U shape. We were on the left of the big guns (from hyde's pov), on the right if you're facing the stage. But there also were Japanese fans with us, and on the other side of the guns were more of the Japanese who were packed in (more than us.) Our side was pretty empty with lots of room to move. It was far, but it actually was okay because even though I'm short I could move around a lot to find someplace that I could see. Also, it wasn't too far where we didn't get anything they threw. My daughter got one of K.A.Z.'s picks, and the girl in front of me caught a towel (despite the two rabid girls who practically tackled/wrestled her for it - yikes!)
Some of my favorite moments were when:
~the bus pulled up beside the Missouri and the VAMPS banner was visible to us (0:05 on the video). Also visible were the 2 big, black VAMPS flags flying on either side of the stage.
~they vamped before the songs:
Love Addict - when they played loud then soft and us clapping in between over and over. The Japanese were yelling something in between, but I don't know what they were yelling.
Trouble - was SO MUCH FUN! Before the song actually started, they vamped the beginning with Hyde singing "whoa-oh", and urged us to sing what he sang. He'd sing "whoa oh" and everytime we'd sing it back to him he'd kind of motion and sing-song back to us "moto moto moto moto", telling us more, more.
~I loved when the sun set and the VAMPS logo with VAMPS final party 2009 was illuminated above the big guns. (0:00 on the video, behind the big guns the ship was covered in white, and when the sun went down the logo was projected (I think) onto the white.)
~when hyde (first mc) said, "Aloha! Today is not a concert. No concert. This is a party. It's a party. No breaks. Let's have fun today." Then he talked about how no matter where the place is, you guys (the fans) are here. He also said something about he didn't think they could make it here because it's really expensive. "Party party party." (This is probably all out of order...when it got dark I was writing on writing.)
~when Ju-ken said when he found out he had to MC his heart was beating (hard?). I also liked that he went to the North Shore and had shave ice from Matsumoto Store.
~Arimatsu's story about the "shaka" sign and all the Japanese people going "ehh?". So funny. Hyde wanted more story - haha.
~it felt sad when hyde talked about it being the last of 60 shows in 5 months.
~after the last song they popped champagne and sprayed the crowd. Everyone threw things (picks etc...) except hyde who threw flower petals. hahaha hyde.
~it was a nice night with a cool breeze
~everyone loves VAMPS, so instant friends and camaraderie! :-) <3
Akemi, I don't think they played Vampire Depression, but I could be wrong (I usually am). I took paper and a pen with me and wrote down the songs when they played, but since it was so dark my writing looks like hieroglyphics and some of it is very undecipherable. (I even wrote down the MCs, but I can't read it.) But when we went out after the show, one of the guys we were with said something about being disappointed that they didn't play Vampire Depression and Evanescent because he was waiting for both. (I'm surprised they didn't do Evanescent too.)
Speaking of guys, it was funny that most of the Japanese were female, there were just a few guys. My daughter said she saw 2. (LoL) There were probably more from the US than in the whole Japanese crowd. (Hmmm...i wonder why)
I apologize for writing so much and getting so carried away, but I am carried away....<3 VAMPS obssessed <3 (but not in a bad way) :-D
