RE: Warped Opinions (How was it?)
I doubt there's going to be an open chance for autographs at the other shows without autographs sessions. warped was different because it wasn't their show it was a huge festival and it was open to everyone so it was easier to find them. At vegas they just arrive and play and leave cause it's inside a hotel. ^^ Maybe they'll stay at the hard rock? you never know

RE: Warped Opinions (How was it?)
I just posted about the Baltimore show, so I want to hop over here and talk about what happened at Columbia. This show was AMAZING, despite being so short!
There were hardly any people there, so I got a really good spot in front of Kaz's side of the stage. While the band before VAMPS was playing, I saw Ju-ken, Jin, and Kaz a LOT on the right side of the stage (Ju-ken kept dancing to the music). At one point, I saw a bunch of fans screaming and charging through the crowd in my direction from the left side of the stage, and when I turned I saw Hyde walking towards the back (he waved to everybody). That was my first sighting of Hyde ever
After the band before them left, Ju-ken came out and helped with setting up the instruments. He's really great. I heard them testing the backing track for "Redrum", which made me extremely happy because that's my favorite song on the album!
The band came out on stage right on time, and with the bright sun you could see all of the band members really clearly. They were so close, too - not even 15 feet away. Hyde and Ju-ken made lots of eye contact with the crowd, which was great. Ju-ken was especially awesome at getting the crowd worked up! On the MC, Hyde lamented that they wanted to do a longer show but they had "no time".
After the show, I joined the crowd on the side and saw Hyde, Kaz, and Jin (I missed Ju-ken *cries*). I wanted to get Hyde's autograph, but it looked like he was about to leave, so I stuck out my hand for a quick handshake. Because of my angle, I had to stick out my *left* hand, and Hyde held out his right hand and then got really confused as to how to shake it! He stood there for a second trying to figure out how to position his hand, so I flipped my left hand backwards and he shook it that way (we were both laughing!).
Then I went over to Kaz and got an autograph on my fan. Unfortunately, on the first autograph, his silver pen was running out and didn't show up very well. He did the best he could and handed the fan back, and one of the staff members next to me handed me a black pen and said to try it instead. So I took that, turned around, and Kaz was signing something else with a gold pen. I stood there kind of in a daze for a second and then Kaz turned and saw me standing there with the fan and the black pen. The staff member kept insisting I get another autograph, so I handed the fan back to Kaz and he signed the fan AGAIN under the first signature, but this time with the gold pen.
So I got two Kaz autographs on the same fan! I shook his hand and thanked him. Everybody was so nice!
Btw, I want to apologize for not talking with anyone else who was there that day - at the time of the concert, I had been awake for over 30 hours straight (8 hours of which were spent driving), and I wasn't really in my right mind But it was an incredible show, and I am SO glad that I went! I have to say, though, that the Warped Tour was really unorganized and the staff didn't seem to have any idea what was going on. But it was all worth it as soon as VAMPS walked out on stage!

Missy, just watched your vids on YT. Great! glad you got them uploaded for both WARPED shows. thanks for sharing.
poor guys, such short sets for these shows. and Hyde's "we got no time..." did anyone ever learn just why they got so little playing time? maybe it's me, but Hyde seemed a bit sad on both occasions by that. like the crowd was just getting into them and it was done. just curious. ^ ^

RE: Warped Opinions (How was it?)
No problem, hope people enjoy~ haha. I know a few are a bit shaky because I was jumping too, lol, but I was just so happy that a) they were playing and b) there was ROOM to actually move and breathe...! o_o And jump, of course. :D
At Warped Tour, on the Kevin Says stage all bands really only got about 30 minutes, give or take, and time to play 5 songs. It's just how it works. :(
Oh, at Columbia too people seemed a LOT more into them then in Hartford. Apparently a decent size crowd gathered and a most pit was even attempted...! :) Which makes me happy, haha, VAMPS pulled in random non-Jrock fans! \o/

do you think the time had anything to do with the crowd at Hartford? one might think that seasoned musicians such as VAMPS wouldn't be at the very start of the day, but maybe mid-afternoon, and some who would have gone hadn't arrived yet. if only they had been able to announce the playing schedule ahead of time. o.O?
speculation around the forum certainly would have made one think a later time slot. i know that old pros or not, to american rock fans they are basically as unknown as the kids playing in my neighbors basement. a fact i am hoping that even this small bit of exposure at WARPED will help alleviate. 8)

The time might have had something to do with it... the location of the stage could have been a factor too. I think in Columbia the stage was more in your face, while in Hartford it was sort of out of the way and not as many people randomly passed by. :/
Yeah, I know some people though VAMPS weren't playing until later and even missed them! :( It's how Warped Tour is though, you never know what time a band is playing. I'm just glad they weren't the FIRST band, because even I wasn't there at 11:15am when bands started. x_x
I do hope Warped Tour helped expose some people to VAMPS too!!! \o/ We can only hope for the best, but I definitely have a good feeling and am glad they played Warped. (Those fans they were selling helped too. I used mine all day to block out the sun, and a few people asked me about VAMPS~!!!)
