I just wish that I could get better ones of K.A.Z. He gets no credit. Right before we were let into the sonar someone said, "Cheer for Hyde!" And everyone started screaming. Then the girl said, "Alright, pity cheer for KAZ."

Yeah, I found that quite annoying. I might not be a member of the KAZ fan club (or "militantly pro-KAZ", which is how I always think of iceybabes, lol) but he's still awesome...and one of the most entertaining things about Faith Live....right up there with Hyde & Jin (lol @ my avatar).

I wish that nasty girl with the pink/black hair from the front of the line had been there (she said she was from the jfan forums, I think....and seemed quite disdainful of our forum and the street team leaders in general). Since her response to anything anybody did was "Is that really necessary?!?!", she would've surely had an opportunity to use her signature line then.

Ha, ha "Militantly Pro-Kaz" that's me. Everyone better watch out at the shows I'm at. If I hear someone say "Cheer for Hyde" I'll have something to say about that. I can't scream/yell loud but I'll try my best to cheer for Kazu.

As for Kazu I don't think he minds not being in the spotlight as much because he is shy and just doesn't seem like the "spotlight" kind of person. (Thus is why Hyde and him get along as well as they do. Hyde's a spotlight kinda guy and Kaz is not. I am sure he wants to be appreciated but doesn't want to be shoved in the spotlight) I think it rather embarrasses him when Hyde tries to get him to talk or "show off". Not only has Kaz worked with Hyde since 2003, but he's worked with Tetsu69 and was in hide With Spread Beaver (And of course Oblivion Dust, which is underappreciated as well). There are other's he's worked with too but I can't remember right off hand who. Kaz is so under appreciated it's almost sickening. He is one hell of a musician and has wrote some damn good songs. Spin Aqua shows you his talents right there. There is a variety of different genre's of music, which he wrote all the music for and Anna wrote all the lyrics to. I personally don't need lyrics to his music because the music itself speaks to me, it was after all his guitar that drew me to him in the first place. (Hence "Screamin' Silence") Not only is he a guitarist and song writer he's also producer and programmer for albums. He puts as much if not more time into an album as Hyde does, but still is not appreciated for his hard work. When he is working he is happy, you can see it in the MV issues that show them in the studio. Hell even on stage you can tell he's where he wants to be, entertaining and sharing his God given talent with everyone even if hardly anyone appreciates it. And to those people who have said Kazu is NOT talented...I can't say what I want to here LOL. They obviously don't know what talent is. And not to mention the man is darn right beautiful in all meanings of the word. So I maybe the only Kaz fan at the shows but I don't care, I will give him my attention and praise. Thats the end of my rant LOLOL.

Nice rant, icey.
Although my love with VAMPS is for Hyde I also appreciate K.A.Z and his talents. Like you said, he is much more laid-back than Hyde but he is a very good musician. He is talented and witty and entertains in a different style than in-your-face Hyde.
I wasn't much of a Ju-ken fan before VAMPS either....but I think the man really rocks now.
Six more days and we are THERE!

Yeah, on KAZ, he is a great producer, and let's not forget he wrote the music for Season's Call. VAMPS sounds better, production-wse, than any non-L'arc album I've heard Hyde on.

I just hope nobody decides to embarass KAZ by being rude or dismissive to Hyde @ the signings, just to try to show off what a big KAZ fan they are.

As for Ju-ken, yeah. If you have an ass, he'll kick it! Icon_blaugh

Since her response to anything anybody did was "Is that really necessary?!?!", she would've surely had an opportunity to use her signature line then.

lol I think I remember her!
Love the rant icey!
Kaz is officially my favorite guitarist. I won't argue that he's the best in the world, but his talent, dedication, and ability to urterally entertain all make him my favorite. He's truely amazing and his shyness is adorable! (Plus, his laugh is really cute)

Hyde is amazing too, though. He also puts in a lot of effort. Not only that, his voice is amazing (easily distiguishable) and he's down right loveable. What saddens me is most of his fans like him because he's hott and still looks like he's in his 20s.

So when I hear someone saying cheer just for a specific member of a band, I get upset. A band is a group effort, so they should have just said, "Cheer for vamps!"

And vice versa. I hope no one has been rude to Kazu at the signings either. I won't dismiss Hyde

RE: Baltimore Show Impressions
How about some perspective from the older generation? I claim the title of oldest fan at the show, unless someone wants to challenge me. I am the 49 year old father of a 16 year old girl (sekirei on the forum) and don't know that much about J Rock, but wanted her to have a great experience. We got in line about noon. (#159)

First observation, you fans are the best! I read some of the stuff that happened in NYC and it was nothing like that at Sonar. The camaraderie was great and most everyone made it through with minimal difficulty, with the exception of a couple of sunburn cases. 90 in Baltimore in the summer, who knew?

We got a little worried at autograph time, because they originally said first 200, but it was going slow and there was talk of some of the "guaranteed" people not getting in. I think they ended up cutting it off just a few places behind us, about 165 or so. I stood aside and let my daughter and her friend go in, so whoever got the last autograph, you can thank me next tour! I'm told the guys were great, although they obviously moved people through a little more quickly at the end.

We went back in line at about 3:30 or so for the big wait. We were around the corner, so the sun went behind the buildings fairly early. There were no problems whatsoever with the line, people came and went as needed, made food and bathroom runs, etc.

I know some people have been saying doors opened at 7:45, my recollection is closer to eight. First reaction was "nice cool breeze" from the club fans, followed very shortly thereafter by "damn, it's hot in here." I was the old dude in the straw hat about 20 feet directly in front of Hyde's mic. I didn't jump up and down much, because I was holding one of the girls' stuff and let's face it, I'm 49 and stood in line for eight hours.

The time began to drag as it approached 9 PM and no band. The crew teased us a couple of times by lowering the house lights (OK a couple of times, not cool by the fifth or sixth.)

Finally, showtime! Again, I don't know much about J Rock. I'm a Queen fan, so it's cool that Yoshiki worked with Roger Taylor. Anyway, English, Japanese, I know a front man when I see one. Hyde owned that crowd from the first note. What a presence. I could only make out some of the banter, but what the earlier posters said about watching the dragon boats in the harbor made sense. "I watched them allllllll day!" Translation from English to English "sitting in a hotel room is ****ing boring, let's rock."

And they did! K.A.Z is obviously not real comfortable in the spotlight, but that's cool and Ju-ken is a monster on bass and a pretty good crowd pleaser himself. Loved the standup bass slides!

On to the encore and I'm saying to myself, "hey, this sounds like Lucy in the Sky. I guess that's because it was. Cool.

Anyway, hats off to Sonar staff, their crowd control was excellent. Nice job plucking the overheated from the front rows. A little moshing, but nothing too serious. My daughter caught a Ju-ken water bottle! I will now pay more attention to the finer points of J Rock and I have the feeling I may see you next year at Otakon. I don't think I have a choice.

Have fun on the west coast and bring on anyone who was older than 49!

Nice review from an "outside" point of view. Thanks.
When Mamikochan comes on though, she is going to burst your age bubble. She is a VAMPS fan and she was going to Baltimore.
