That's what I thought, but when I looked at the venues for this it looked like it was indoors... I'm confused, I've never done Warped before.
My friend explained the Columbia venue to me like this:
"While they are held at seated venues, Warped Tour usually like...expands the whole area of where you are. At Columbia, the ampitheatre holds two smaller stages, divided in the middle. SEE BLURRY PICTURE! (http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd175...C06027.jpg ) They rotate, so as one band is playing on one stage, another is setting up on the other side.
But, if you take a short walk to the right of the ampitheatre, and follow the massive crowds, that takes you to another smaller stage, and the two main stages, left & right. I doubt Vamps will be playing on those, they'll probably be in the ampitheatre stages, so you really dont have to worry. Oreskaband played one of those stages last year."
OMG seats! finally, lol. We should meet there! I'm as new to warped tours as you are TOT
We should all try to have a place to meet. I've never been to the Warped Tour either and I would hate to get their and miss the whole thing because I get lost in the crowds!
Agree!
I think midday would be a good time to arrive, there are many bands and I doubt people that are inside the amphitheater at 11 am will stay in the same place until 10 pm.
So midday would be a nice hour for us to meet, get to know each other and then stroll around and meet again around 4-6 pm or something depending on when Vamps is playing. I don't want to be hit by a metal-punk-ska-whatever band crowd for 4 hours while waiting for vamps and I don't think they will all want to stay there after their favorite bands play (they have to drink-eat and stuff).
There's also a mall across the street. Does anyone know if they allow re-entrance to the venue? maybe with bracelets?

RE: Tickets?
Do we know yet what times VAMPS is going on? I know somewhere it said something like 8pm, but Warped starts at 11am with events going on all day... I feel like VAMPS would go on earlier rather then later. :/ I think we need to know what time they're going on before planning anything, lol. xD
But I'm glad I'm not the only one new to Warped Tour!! Makes me feel that much better~.
I hope VAMPS go on early though, honestly, it would be nice to not have to hang around all day. I'll definitely check out some other bands playing, but I want to be up front for Vamps as well. <3 We'll see, I just want to know what time they'll be on. (Same goes for Hartford show.)
And I want to say that if you have a ticket/bracelet, they should let you leave and come back in but... I don't know, can't say I've done Warped before! XD

As far as I know we won't be able to know the schedule until the same day! but I really hope they play after midday but before 8 pm. ^_^

RE: Tickets?
Hey-
For both Warped Tour performances, the artists do not know what time they play until they arrive that day. It could be 11:00am, it could be the last band... no one knows (or they are not telling us), until that day. The idea is to have all fans come early and stay late to appreciate more than one band. Please plan for a long day... there are some good websites and blogs that list "must haves" when attending the Warped Tour.
Thanks.

RE: Tickets?
Okay, just to be clear (since I'm still confused )...will there be seats? It looked to me from what I could see on image searches that there was a large lawn, but a small, perhaps seated area in front of the stage? The tickets I bought and printed out have a row and seat number listed on them - does that mean anything?
I hope the band gets to play early...will there be a schedule that we can see when we arrive that day?
*so new to all of this*
ETA: Also...on the Warped Tour - how long does each band get to play? Does this mean we'll see a much shorter performance than the other venues?

RE: Tickets?
is 30 minutes per band and the schedule will be posted the same day at the venue ._." So yeah I guess is a shorter performance, I think regular concerts last for 2 hours or more?

RE: Tickets?
Yeah, sadly at large events like this, bands can't play full sets (unless they're one of the main headlining acts, I guess...).
I'm only expecting 5 or so songs from them at Warped. :/

Does anyone know if Baltimore tickets are still available?
ETA: Nevermind, I found it on the Sonar site!
ETA2: Well, my credit card isn't too happy with me right now, but it looks like I'll be going to Baltimore, too! Yay!
