Yikes......how about Europe?
I can feel your pain. I live in Southern California and cannot attend the San Francisco show due to the cost of getting there and the room.

RE: Desperately Need Help and Advice
Well, you know, I was going to suggest you purchase tickets straight from the venue's website, but I soon discovered that there is none, or at least I can't find it by specifically searching for "Shanghai International Gymnastics Center" on Google.
I -can- tell you, however, that the site (vamps2010.cn) is probably a fan site (not the best place to buy tickets from). For one, VAMPS tour websites (such as http://www.vampsliveusa.com/ ) are usually very simple, not too flash oriented. Furthermore, the opening flash uses SEX BLOOD ROCK N' ROLL instead of the instrumental version found when the VAMPS world tour was first unveiled. But the biggest giveaway is the fact that the video on the front page links to what is obviously a fan video (either that or the Chinese promoter for VAMPS is not very professional).
Like cathb said, the domain has changed numerous times over a span of a time that usually covers a little over one domain registration plan (depending on the kind of deal you get; most basic top level domain plans are given a five year registration with optional renewal). That's not exactly a good sign.
Again previously stated, the ticket prices themselves seem a dead giveaway. For one, there's TWO shows, which means the supply does not equal such an enormous ticket price. If there were just one show, it would still be ridiculous but it would make a little more sense. Even then, the ticket prices are more expensive than in Japan, where the demand is at its highest.
If I were you, I don't think I'd trust ordering tickets from this site. Even if the tickets turn out to somehow be legit, you still paid way too much for them.

I dunno about it being a fansite. J linked http://www.vamps2010.cn/ from facebook in one of his notes.
Pricing I don't know about but email address changing isn't uncommon. Info@ email is probably for general information, so it makes sense that they would forward your ticketing questions to the ticketing department.
I don't know what VIP offers but there is probably a reason for them to be so pricey.
If you are concerned you can try mailing J on myspace to see what he says about it.

I was going to suggest emailing J also.....but I figured he was so busy that he may not respond in time. If he mentioned this site on Facebook in a positive light, that definitely gives it credibility. But why is it not mentioned through VAMPS website? That way people would know what is going on and would feel secure about using it.
That still is an incredible amount of money to pay though. Yikes!

He did? I must have missed that post.
It's a pretty poorly-designed site for an official tour website or whatever. (I mean, layout-wise, it's okay, but the flash and video all just reek of a relatively simple fan video made in Windows Movie Maker) - But I guess if J posted it on a FaceBook note, it must be okay.
The pricing may have been a result of a calculation error. That tends to happen on electronic trades. I'd recommend giving J a message on MySpace (I think that even if he doesn't respond on time right now, another member of the management should be there to assist)

RE: Desperately Need Help and Advice
is that all you get for that price? two concert tickets and an expo ticket?
that's a ridiculous amount of money just for tickets.. hopefully that's just an error or something @_@ if you don't trust it though I would recommend going to another concert like cathb said..
Concert tickets for Los Angeles are just $35, and I found airline tickets to L.A. round-trip for $592 altogether on cheapoair.com (yeah, the name sounds cheesy but the tickets are cheap) [the dates I put in were Sept. 30 and Oct. 3]
I wish I could help you more

RE: Desperately Need Help and Advice
A friend of mine placed her order from the link on the VAMPS facebook page.
She said, "...I actually ordered the most expansive one ( US $ 445) It contains "VIP" ground ticket for the 2 shows, a "VIP" ticket for special interview at the World Expo plus a ticket to go to the World Expo, poster, special cover for the ticket.....send the request out yesterday, and still haven't heard from them yet............."
She said pre-sale tickets are only through June 6.
Good luck, and I hope this helps. ^__^

RE: Desperately Need Help and Advice
So after sending out my VIP ticket pre-order request like, six times.... I finally received the invoice from them this afternoon.
I pre-ordered a VIP ticket set for one + EMS shipping which is RMB3482 or USD510. I am still skeptical as to confirm the payment or not.
Although this site is a fansite, VAMPS did link it on their official site..

Is it really that far off compared to other countries?
I guess it depends on what you think it is worth to you.
What is "VIP"??? Are you guaranteed a spot in the front? I would want to know EXACTLY what I am getting before I plunked down that kind of money. But then, I am a cheapskate, too........
Another thought (because this has sadly happened to me)...... when do you get your tickets compared to when do you buy them? Most credit card companies have a 30 day satisfaction guarantee. They will dispute your purchase/transaction within the 30 day period. If you do not get your tickets within that window of time, you have no recourse against the seller. You are out the money with no one to help you. I think PayPal also has that same 30 days......
