Desperately Need Help and Advice - Hezra - 05-30-2010
Hi All,
I'm from Malaysia and I'm desperately trying to go to the VAMPS concert in Shanghai (which is relatively nearest to where I am).
The issue is, recently I have pre-ordered tickets from http://www.vamps2010.cn/
Firstly I emailed to INFO@vamps2010.cn and got response on the pre-order info and subsequently about the payment info from a different email address presale@vamps2010.cn
The total payment for the tickets and EMS shipping cost about 1,000 USD. I had a hard time saving up to achieve this dream. My main concern is:
1. Why is there a use of different email address? (It changed in the middle of few email correspondences)
2. I was given instructions to bank in the amount to a China Bank account with a beneficiary’s name given
It looks a bit dodgy to me but I had no other choice if I want to get hold of the tickets. There are only 666 VIP tickets for this Shanghai show.
As this is a pre-order, I need to make a decision and payment quickly. I really hope to get some advice or anyone with similar experience to this.

I'm from Singapore and recently I've pre-ordered the VIP tickets for the Shanghai concert as well. I sent my order a week ago and have yet to receive a reply.

I would be very careful.....that is an outrageous amount of money to spend for tickets. Our US price is only $35 and Japans is only 6666 yen...or around there. I would DOUBLE-CHECK everything before I let go of that kind of cash. If that is the actual amount of the tickets, then I would not think that you have that much competition for them and you still have some time to investigate.
Plus you are dealing with Shanghai. We have a saying in the US about getting Shanghaied.
Just be cautious....even if it is legit, I would still be careful at that price.

The amount is for 2 VIP tickets (some kind of package) which consists:
1. 2 days concert admittance
2. shanghai expo tickets
I totally agreed about the risk of being "Shanghaied" which is my main concern now.
I'm hesitating what is the next best move.

You are welcome....but that price still seems outrageous.
Two tickets even at $100 US each...and how much can entrance to an expo be? VAMPS would not charge you the shirt off of your back.....

I can't read Chinese so I can't help you much.
However, the website was set up on January 18th of this year (and expires the same day next year) and is registered to a person using the email address of tinavbubble@gmail.com. You may want to try and contact them if you are not getting any response at the other addresses.

I googled the RockFaith at the bottom to see where it went. This domain has changed names 12 times in the past 7 years.
I am trying to do six other things at the moment, too.....lol. Have you checked VAMPS website for information about tickets and the expo? Of course, if this is legit, then these people may have everything they are offering set up already and they are purchasing the tickets for all things.

Plus one last thing..... has VAMPS announced that they will do the stuff at the expo? Usually such things are not announced unless all of the paperwork is in place.
