RE: TETSUYA - "ROULETTE" PV
i lost my reply...
anyway, as i said before..i think TETSUYA has really upped his PINK game by a goodly margin with this pv. this is a masterpiece of aaaall this is happy, , bouncy, colorful and genki out your..ears. ^^ plus TETSUYA's "dancing" moves are beyond loltastic.
the song is catchy, i liked it enough apparently to find myself warbling the opening line and lalala-ing off and on all yesterday. sometimes you just need a taste of fruitful pinkness and Banana-man can deliver. but a bit can also go a long way. i haven't gotten around to looking for the lyrics, i'm sure some of his more avid fans have already translated them somewhere.
it's quite a contrast to VAMPS' latest, but it suits Te-chan. although i'm not an fanatic TETSUYA fan, i do enjoy what he does and am really glad to see him release this after nothing since 2006. i like this better than "Can't Stop Believing", which just sounded like a laruku song with tetsuya at vocals instead of hyde. ROULETTE sounds like a Banana release completely. :nods:
i'm enjoying seeing him with a band backing him again. that was what i liked best about the Tightrope pv, plus KAZ was part of that band. ^ ^)bb

RE: TETSUYA - "ROULETTE" PV
i love this song ever since i listened to LQ version from the radio, it's so tetsuya.. a little bit poppish, the drum especially so tetsuya.
the first time i saw this video.. it reminds me of dive to blue video becos it's taken in the coridor with lot's of pink things.. so we can say the video based on dive to pink concept, and then the gay dance.. the way tetsuya move his shoulders with all the colourfull dancers.. it's reminds me of britney's old video *look at his hairstyle*.. baby one more times.. yess the video was rocking MTV during my teenage time. and maybe then leader sama think he's not cool enough if he just doing the britney gay version... so he came up again with the gay version of eminem... so here we come fans.. the gay slim shady LOL *

while hyde is busy rockin' the world, tetsuya still coloring our world with his genkiness

i'm thinking KAZ worked with Tetsuya first, before he got so involved in Spin Aqua. i was also thinking KAZ might have done guitar on a tv performance of that but i'm wondering if he was on Tetsuya's Sweet December tv special?

Watching this, you can definitely tell why Hyde went solo. Every time I watch the Pieces video, I giggle.....thinking Hyde just needs a thought bubble over his head.... "I'm the leader now! I can finally make L'Arc ROCK!!" *stab stab*
About KAZ backing Tetsu.... when watching live footage, I often find myself wondering if the keyboardist L'Arc hides behind the stage is Jin

Because bowling whilst time is frozen is not hard rock enough?

Nah, I think that's a different person. Though I can't really tell from the angles.

====================
bill, the stage keyboardist for L'Arc is, and has been for eons, Takeyuki Hatano. occasionally you will catch more than the back of his head during the backstage "ritual". he just looks like a middle-aged Japanese man, not very rockish at all. lol he played with ken's sessions at Jack in the Box last year, maybe on tour too? idk.
however, if you are as curious as i am and go back through all of the cds you will find that Jin Saito did work sometimes on the recordings. maybe as far back as TRUE or HEART. it's been a while since i did check that out. there's even a Le Ciel article with ken and Jin doing that food thing ken does for his segment at least 10 years back. so Jin does have history with the band.
if you look carefully, you'll find that sort of situation running throughout the member;s solo times. they utilize people who normally tour/record with L'Arc all of the time. most of VAMPS roadies are L'Arc's too. part of being in the Maverick DC family i think. plus, it keeps everybody working.
