Even if it was VAMPS related.
Of course. I understand that much. I'm just saying that I would have bought it over the VAMPS merchandise if they had it.
Quote:As for the USA VAMPS shirts..... I agree that they were fairly simple. Especially when compared to some of their Japanese counterparts. I really like the black/gray stripes with the big red lips on them. But there are plenty of them out there on auction right now. Perhaps they did not want to invest a lot in the production of them for here since they did not know how they would sell in the US. Silly boys....
Even the Japanese ones were extremely simple, but much more preferable than the USA ones. What I don't get is why they have to be different based on the country. =x Seriously. Why can't all the tour goods be exactly the same? It won't cost any more or any less.
But, I guess, for most of the right reasons, VAMPS are very paranoid when performing overseas. After the FAITH tour, they still didn't quite realize how popular they were in the US, and as a result, I think they excluded COUNTDOWN and SEASON'S CALL from the US version of FAITH. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that. On THIS tour, they limit the amount of merchandise severely because they don't know if it will be sold enough. And, to be fair, because it would have cost more to transport certain items here.
Perhaps, though, now that this tour is done, they're opening their eyes to see that they are very popular in more than just Japan and will finally open more options available to overseas fans. Like the English HYDEIST that J mentioned last year... =x
Even in Japan the tour goods are not always the same. For example, the daily t-shirts and wrist bands. You had to go to different shows to get different designs. These groups (not just VAMPS) know how to merchandise. And yeah, they probably didn't have a clue that they would sell out of merchandise. Since they didn't sell out at the concerts (NY excepted), they didn't know how many people would show up. I'm sure that they didn't want to face the possibility of having to fly that stuff back to Japan.
We did get a break with our ticket prices. They were dirt cheap. Japanese fans are probably wondering why ours were so low. I had expected the standard 66.60 yen price and was extremely happy with the low price since I was purchasing 3 for each show that I went to.
As for American Hydeist....didn't J run a survey as to how much we would pay? Many people complained about a $60 or so fee saying it was too high. We will not get one with that attitude. Like Tracycoder mentioned, be prepared to shell out $160 at the moment to join what is available. All of a sudden that $60 doesn't seem so bad, does it?
yeah, i agree with the goods deal. but they sold the leftovers from the japan tour online, so instead, they should have made more sold those here... and THEN sell the leftovers :P
and our ticket prices were half of what they are in japan, which was really nice.
As for Ju-ken's goods, apparently, he sold out on his towels at the last USJ live Sunday, so all he has left are the tanks, mens and womens, 2 sizes only. He didn't specify the size on his blog...
i wonder when he'll have a new set ready?
Yeah, thanks for the update. I guess I will just keep checking his gibberish laden site and hope for restocking in the future. I have always liked Ju-ken's merchandise, even pre-VAMPS, so hopefully I'll get my hands on his stuff in the future (hmm that sounds a little dirty - hee hee)
As for the cost of an International HYDEIST - it is not going to be cheap if it happens. The only way I can conceive of anyone paying just 60 dollars a year is if they have a tiered system with an online only option and then a premium membership that included shipping of fan magazines, etc for a higher price (probably over 100 dollars a year).
That is a workable model since I know that is how Mon+Amour works (Mana's International Fanclub). You pay a lower price if you just want access to online translations of the Madousho (the fanclub magazine), but you pay more if you want the actual madousho mailed out to you.
Being a fan of an artist who is primarily based in another country is never going to be cheap - I don't know why people don't realize that simple fact.

RE: Ju-ken Merch
OH I see!!
I agree: The page shows only gibberish and the images, the Bloody Mary shirt is awesome! I hope it is available for purchase on a simpler way someday.
But well, I DO like the singles design :-p I find it to be much better than the design of the album itself, the style has a concept, plays with typography and textures and the color palette is easy to recognize anywhere, they work as a family. I did like the photographic work on the album, though. And, well, that's only my opinion anyway :-p

Seriously, his goods are better than most of the VAMPS goods, especially that BLOODY MARIA shirt =x - And I don't just mean a tad better, I mean... a lot better as much as I hate to say that. Most of the VAMPS tour shirts were just so bland and simple that they were painful to look at. Kind of like the regular VAMPS logo. It's so simple that a Kindergartner could do it on MS Paint. =x - I hope the next few singles will introduce a much more complex design. I mean, it's not exactly important, but I would love to see something OTHER than a naked girl faded behind an extremely simple logo. D: Maybe a picture of HYDE and K.A.Z. perhaps? =/
But the store is also gibberish for me so no hopes for me actually getting anything. The shipping is probably too much anyway >>

Eh, I just don't like the bright colors and naked women. They're too excessive and when I get my album, the first thing I like to see is a picture of the band or something that represents the band. Plus, it makes my parents think I'm ordering a porn CD or something and I have to convince them that the lyrics are mostly clean... which is difficult with a title called SEX BLOOD ROCK 'N ROLL.

Just remind your parents that they lived through the "Sex, drugs, rock 'n roll" era and survived. :)

LMAO, somehow I doubt that'd be a convincing argument XD
But again, I just don't like the bright colors and naked women on the boxes. It sort of annoys me, especially when the song on CD may have nothing at all to do with it. When I listened to TIME GOES BY for the first time, I was surprised when I found out how they designed the box for LOVE ADDICT. I mean, LOVE ADDICT, being about nothing but sex, I could picture that. But I could never picture TIME GOES BY to be on a CD like that. XD
But I guess it's what VAMPS want to do with them, and I can't argue with their desires, even if I'd rather them use a tad less colorful imagery and have more of VAMPS the band, less of "vamps" of flashy, mysterious women.

RE: Ju-ken Merch
So, Ju-ken said on his blog he has sold out completely! Nothing's left, so he's done selling goods for now. But he says to look forward to his next set.
As for the CD covers, go to VAMPS' site and look at the cover for SWEET DREAMS. sexy legs and a snake... that definitely has nothing to do with SWEET DREAMS! hahahaha I don't think they're lettin' their flashy women go lol

too late kiddo. what is bad is the 1st thing that came to my mind when i saw that cover yesterday was hentai tentacle anime teen-aged and middle-aged men seem to admire, based solely on the types of guys you run into in the anime aisles at Best Buy. Thank You Hyde-san for putting perverted images in my head. naked women i can handle, leave off the snakes please.
