It was fine last year. If you have someone hold your spot they are holding your spot. We had no problems in SF, Vegas or SD with people cutting really. LA wasn't really a problem either from where I was at. Now if an extraordinary amount of people are cutting in front of you saying they were there and they weren't there at all except an hour before the show then yeah but if someone sleeps over night and holds your position for you and you come there in the morning I see no need to monitor anything. I know in SF we marked hands and it worked just fine.
--------------------
There were quite a few problems in LA, especially if you read the posts of some of the people that went. I remember where you were in line, and some of my friends in line a little before you were cut by a bunch of other people. And the hand marking wasn't done by the venue staff, but by fans that arrived before I did. And what I mean by monitoring the line, I mean by making sure there aren't any problems during the time people are camping out. The day of the show, well, I can't really do much about line cutting the day of.
I know it was a fan thing in line as I said IN SAN FRANCISCO we did that same thing. I was there and I recall it was fans who did the hand marking. I don't see why ONE single person should be in charge of that, and as for people cutting in front of others you have to learn to stand up for yourself and say "I don't think so, get to the back you weren't here before so go back" There was like 3 different "line" lists by the time the show came along in LA so...I think a list is pointless since it can be redone and redone because I was supposed to be number 9 or 10 in LA and since peoples friends cut in front of me I was like 15. I didn't realize it at the time and since there was so much DRAMA before hand about not letting people's friends cut I didn't want to start something 30 minutes before the concert. Oh well I got front row so I'm not going to complain.

I'm not talking about San Francisco, I'm talking about Los Angeles, especially since this is an L.A. thread. And like I said before, THE DAY OF the show, there's nothing really anyone can do. Unless of course the venue staff or VAMPS' staff has someone go around to mark people the I'm talking about a day or so prior to the show. Moreover, your experiences at both shows are different from the experiences of others, myself included. And if you don't like the list idea, well, no one is asking you to do it. The purpose and sole purpose of this list is to make sure people line up accordingly a day or so prior to the show, in the event we should have to be removed from our spots. The list in L.A. worked very well that way last year. Problems occurred on the day of the show because people were misinformed and thought the list was official and if you didn't have a number, you couldn't be in line, etc, etc... I wasn't in charge of the list last year and I knew there was a lot of drama due to the disorgnization of it. Well, we'll see what happens this year...
