...yeah. They're not going to change the dates when the tickets are already sold. Not just to add an autograph session. :P
I wouldn't worry about it.

RE: VAMPS At Otakon
I am at aww by the news. After getting the Baltimore tickets... my kids sucked me into Otakon~ 4 nights at a hotel and 4 Otakon memberships later, I'm flat broke. But this news makes it all worth it!
I know the West Coast fans are kinda jealous about the Otakon meet and greet thing. Sorry :( but it kinda feels good :) Living on the East Coast we always get jipped when it comes to jrock lives/or any exposure jrock related. For the past 3 years... I've been the jealous one... jealous of the West Coast and all of Europe! This is a once in a lifetime event for some of us fans and me saying how awesome it is... is an understatement. I simply can't put into words my excitement. All I know is that I better pack some smelling salts or something just in case.
And unless they make a "special" preregistration time on the 16th(not 7-9pm) for us to pick up special passes for the Otakon panel or do whatever we are to do... none of us will be there. We'll all be in line and then inside Sonar. And I will be there early cuz we want to get a jump on the thankyou card and banner signing by the fans for the concert. But I'm sure it will all work out. I'm just curious as to how?

This. Yes. This. I understand some west coast fans are jealous, and I can understand that but... I'm SO glad this is on the east coast! I feel like SO much happens on the west coast and not enough on the east coast, so it's nice this can happen here at Otakon. (:
I was wondering that about the badges too. It sounds like there will be something for people who have Vamps tickets to get their badges earlier or something, idk, it said more details soon, so we just have to wait I take it. ^^

RE: VAMPS At Otakon
I think there will probably be something on the West Coast, too (besides LV party thing). Jrock loves West Coast. However, it IS nice that us East Coasters get some love for once.
From what I understand, Otakon gets thousands of visitors so this can turn into some great promotion for them. People who may not know that HYDE is in VAMPS get find out about this at the convention. Maybe even get some non-fans to research the band (to find out who they are) and end up converting to fans.

No you want to know who gets jipped? Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma aka Tornado Alley. No Jrockers come here, once in a while we'll get someone like Motley Crue, Aerosmith but that's usually at Kansas City, which is like a LONG drive. 8-10 hours. East Coast has Otakon and West Coast has AX what does middle America have? Nothing. I wouldn't start saying East Coast never gets anything. Because try living in Kansas, actually in SOUTHWEST Kansas. NOTHING happens here at all. So thus I buy VAMPS tickets and am going to the shows on the West Coast. (Since I've already seen the East Coast.) I've heard Vamps might be doing something in the West Coast as well.

RE: VAMPS At Otakon
Okay, I'm confused.
OT sorry, but I'm new to the whole Otakon thing, so would someone mind
explaining this to me? I'm not a member. And I'm not entirely sure how to
become one. Is it too late now? Or can I still become one by July 2?
OR with the whole Vamps thing, will the people who are not yet members
be able to register the day of the concert, if they get the pass things
that will be handed out at the concert?
I'm sorry. I probably make no sense.
But I'd be forever grateful to any information.

True. But for the southwest, Texas gets it's far share of Jrock. Every artist just can't go everywhere, so they hit up the biggest cities, which would be LA and NYC on either coast, and in the middle I'd say somewhere in Texas. (Houston, Dallas, I'm not expert on geography.) They can't exactly go to Kansas or Oklahoma where they'd only have a handful of fans when they know they have more near larger cities.

I believe you can still pre-register for Otakon. It is at the at-door price of $65, as opposed to prior to June 17th it was $55, but I think you can still pre-register.
To me, it sounds like you need to be pre-registered by the time of the VAMPS concert on July 16th in order to get whatever passes they are handing out for the following day. (That's just what I understood of it.)
However, you can register for Otakon the day, on July 17th as well. :)

Actually Kansas and Oklahoma have big cities (Oklahoma City, OK, Kansas City, KS, Wichita, KS, Hutchinson, KS) And no Jrockers I want to see have ever came to Texas. Oh well I'm traveling to West Coast to see the ones I want to see. So I'm getting a touch OT here so I'll stop LOL

RE: VAMPS At Otakon
I would so go to otakon but I already bought plane tickets to the West Coast. I live in Kentucky I'm just hours from Baltimore but the plane ticket to MD is $212 / round trip for me not counting hotels in MD + otakon registration + concert tickets because if im in Baltimore im going to see that live too. This would easily add on an additional $400-$500 for me and there just no way i can afford it not after already paying $500+ for flights to the west coast.
I don't think its as much as people are "jealous" its just when it gets a month before the lives you have to start buying plane tickets etc and i think most people have already made travel arrangements and can't change them to go to Baltimore so they are kinda irritated this announcement came in so late. I do believe the West Coast will get some love though where and when who knows but I'm praying something happens in Vegas.
L'arc~en~Ciel 20th L'Anniversary was amazing!!
THANK YOU VAMPS!
