i was under the impression when i preordered mine way back that the poster was an extra for 1st press. and i got the same CDJpn package btw. ^ ^ thing is, i've seen an ad on lj (larcenciel and hydeist communities) for 2 regular version/not 1st pres cd/dvd version but black cover cd's on sale, never opened, with that same poster to go with. ???? i don't get it, nor why someone would buy them and turn around and sell them anyway.
You know, now that you mention the black cover, whenever I play the cd and it gets scrobbled into last.fm (music community) the picture of the cd that comes up is a black cover. I wondered why but I guess it's what you said so now I know.
Some people buy more than one copy to re-sell because they think they'll get more money somehow.

Maybe CDJapan had extra posters that just went to the first people who ordered? Not sure.
LOL I don't really understand those people either. Maybe they preordered it months ago and now they need money or something. I saw that on LJ too.
I hadn't noticed the black cover on last.fm but I don't log in there much. *shrug* I like my little white book. :)

the cover color is based on the artwork of the 2 discs, black being the cd and white being the dvd. 1st press cd/dvd album is white cover just to differentiate it from the cd alone regular version. so any cd version on last.fm or ITunes or any other downloadable merchant would show the black cd cover for the album i would think. right?
i guess you are right, people are thinking they can somehow come out ahead, but i still don't see it unless they wait until the thing is no longer available to buy. and the thing to do it you were into that sort of venture, which i am surely not, would be to get the limited release/1st press versions of any of the merchandise. selling a regular version within a couple of days of the original release seems a bit foolhardy. why buy from joe X when i can get it from the merchant at same price and maybe extra features.
sorry to get off track. i am not versed in any of this and find myself curious as to the whys.

Ahhh yes, that makes sense! I got the cd version with the dvd and mine is the white cover. Thanks for pointing that out!
