Hi all!

I thought I'd make a Flickr account for the Portland show. Someplace where we can have pictures of the fliers, or pictures of anything VAMPS/Portland-related. You can find it here:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/40159725@N07/

So far, there's just a few photos of some of the fliers that I made and some of the official ones. I didn't take pictures of everything I posted. Tomorrow I'll be out on the town posting more, so I'll try to do better with the photos!

If anyone has any photos they would like to add to the account, PM me and I will send my email address if you don't have it already. Or alternatively you can upload them to Photobucket or somewhere else and just let me know and I'll grab them and add them to the photostream and tag them and stuff.

VAMPS-tastic news for all you Portland ticket holders! Although there won't be an autograph session in Portland, you can attend the autograph session in Seattle. As long as you have your tickets to the show in Portland, you can attend the Autograph session/Meet 'n Greet event in Seattle. Portland and Seattle, from my understanding, aren't very far from each other. Just make you you have prinouts of your tickets, or you physical tickets if they had been mailed to you. You will not be able to attend the session if you DO NOT HAVE tickets!!

Here's some more information about the meet 'n greet session:

Sunday, July 19th
Venue : SHOWBOX At The Market
Location : 1426 1st Ave Seattle WA 98101
Time : 2:00pm

The autograph/meet 'n greet session is on a "first come, first serve" basis. As far as I am concerned, at this time, there will be no "separate line" for the meet 'n greet. Which is to say that if you're in line early for the concert, you'll get to meet the band. I'm not sure at this time of any more specific details such as how many people will be able to meet the band. Maybe the first 100 or so? Don't quote me on that because I am still awaiting confirmation. Good luck and have fun to those who will attend the show/autograph session!!

Much VAMPS-love,
H.P.

If you do not have your tickets for the Portland/Seattle shows, you can go here to purchase them:

VAMPS LIVE USA Website

*Please note: if you plan on purchasing tickets so you can attend the concert and autograph session, I would recommend that you print out your tickets so you can have them in time for July 19th.

*As many of you may know, I'm from Chile and i'm pretty sure i'm not the only one from another state/country that is going to the awesome gig in <del>Beervana</del> Portland, OR.

This is my first time in the Nortwest area but i've gathered some information, since i'm staying for 6 days up there. There's a lot of places where you can stay in Portland (just check TripAdvisor http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g52024...otels.html), but i'll mention a couple of really economic options:

1.- Hawthorne Hostel http://www.portlandhostel.org/ : it belongs to Hostelling International, but you really don't need a permanent membership if you want to stay there. According to many reviews, the place is really clean and safe...and they have 2 private rooms (they are more expensive, of course). If the maps are correct, this hostel is just a few block away from the venue! :D

2.- Jupiter Hotel http://www.jupiterhotel.com/ : If hostelling isn't your thing but you don't have much money. It's not as close to the venue as the first one, but it's still located in the SE area. If i trust the reviews, this place is a little noisy but it could be a great thing if you want to have some fun . Rooms are clean and have a nice modern decoration. If you check in after midnight, you can get rooms from $59 plus tax.

3.- If you're curious, i'm staying in the Holiday Inn Express NW Downtown, because, with my boyfriend, we wanted a quiet place near downtown and Pearl District...this hotel has a nice price/quality/location/public transportation relation but it's relatively far from the venue. Here's the webpage of this hotel anyway http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ex/1/en/hotel/pdxor

Of course, locals are welcomed to <del>offer their bedrooms for free</del> post some info too

**Edit**
I almost forgot: you must hurry up with the reservations. I've seen some places (mostly small Bed&Breakfast) that already don't have room availibility for the date of the concert O_o

... it's time to come out of the woodworks! I know there are more people out there who are going to come to the Portland show, so start showing your faces!

I am becoming distressed :)

I've got flyers that are coming from Ai soon, and I also made some myself that have the Portland show info on them. I've printed a few on my home printer, but I ordered a LOT (1000) online to be printed and shipped to me, in hot pink and bright yellow so they will be eye-catching.

(If someone wants to print more of my flyers, I can post the image I used somewhere.)

I need help thinking of places to put them. On my side of town, there's the Uwajimaya Asian grocery store which has a lobby in the front with lots of free asian newspapers and magazines and stuff. Then inside is the Kinokuniya bookstore, where I am hoping I can put one in the window and drop off a bunch for people to take.
Every Starbucks has a bulletin board with random stuff on it, so I'll be putting some around various ones while I feed my coffee habit.
I'm sure PSU has some sort of cultural center or something with billboards for this sort of thing. I have a friend who goes there so I will ask him about that.
There's lots of music stores where I might be able to put some.

Come on, Portland people! Where else can I put flyers? Who wants to help me place some? I'm on the west side (Beaverton) - is there anyone over in SE Portland or downtown who knows of good places to put them?

Any other Portland show-related ideas?

I'm working on a banner and a thank you card, and I've got at least one other thing planned as sort of a surprise, but I could really use some help, and some acknowledgment that more than 5 people are coming to this show! LOL

I've got a Facebook Event set up for it - if you're coming, please RSVP there! (and tell your friends!)

http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=89929361634

EDIT: I've got pictures of the flyers that I made - they arrived from the printers a few days ago:

They're much brighter than they look. Especially the pink. It's seriously neon. I already placed some in the lobby at Uwajimaya and on the table-o-flyers at the Kinokuniya bookstore.

If there's anyone in the area who wants some of these so they can put them up, just send me a PM and I will get some to you right away!

Thanks guys!

... it's time to come out of the woodworks!
