K.A.Z = Masterful. Whereas he tends to seem the introverted one in interviews and photo shoots, when he gets a guitar in his hands, it is power! It’s sexy, oh yes, when he plants his feet and starts in. He’s just charged with electric energy. When K.A.Z looks at the audience while playing, and you can see he knows it’s his world, now, and he’s putting it to us, and sometimes he gets this little smile on his face…it reminds one of that remark he made, “The audience was delicious.”

I’m in awe and I love you.

That is exactly Kazu to a T. He's very silent or quiet in interviews/photo shoots etc. But once he has a guitar in his hands he doesn't need his voice, his guitar speaks for him. Music is his life, his world. You can see how deeply he loves it just by watching how dedicated he is to his job. He always puts in 110% no matter what, if it's a short set of 5 songs or a hour and a half long concert. Even behind the scenes in the studio he puts in all he has and more. When he sees us (fans) cheering or getting excited for the songs/music it more than likely thrills him! We are enjoying what he's giving us. I have told him (on myspace comments) that I, for one, am gracious he allows us to be blessed by his wonderful talent. More people need to appreciate Kazu. He has a sound all his own and he puts so much time and effort into anything he does. He mesmerizes me on DVD so I can just imagine what it will be like in person, to watch him do what he does so beautifully. It was his guitar playing that hooked me at first and I love to just watch him play guitar, because you can tell he loves it so dearly!

Thanks for saying that about Kazu, it made me very happy!!
Icon_heart

First, I'm glad I made you very happy. K.A.Z deserves all the accollades he gets, including for writing the music to one of my favourite songs, Seasons Call.

You know, though, I always get the impression that you feel K.A.Z is somehow an underdog, who has to be defended. Have a little more respect for his career and his reputation. Actually, he has a very strong following.

What is perhaps more meaningful, is that he’s obviously valued by his peers, as rock stars who can have their pick – including hyde – have selected K.A.Z to join in making their music. That’s about the greatest compliment you can pay another musician, I think.

The fact that he is somewhat upstaged by hyde’s presence put him in pretty good company. The other members of L’Arc~en~Ciel, Yasu of Janne Da Arc and Acid Black Cherry, Teru of Glay, and even ~ dare I say it? ~ Gackt, himself, would probably say so, among others. They don’t even seem to mind, because it’s hyde (sorry, there is no emoticon for gauzy angel wings or a heavenly choir).

By the way, you don’t have to so vehemently declaim hyde – he’s obviously one of K.A.Z’s biggest supporters. hyde’s said repeatedly that he changed his performing name from his own to VAMPS, because K.A.Z is so important to the music he’s making that he wanted them to share a name. What more do you want him to do for K.A.Z, leave the stage in shame :P ? And do you think K.A.Z would be glad to see you dis’ing his friend, and the guy K.A.Z obviously admires enough to make music with him?

No one says you have to lust after hyde, in order to appreciate the music. The rest of us just naturally Do.

Anyway, you’d better get yourself to a live soon, because I’m here to tell you that K.A.Z is even better looking in person, than in 2-D. It’s true. You may faint, now.
I am the Desire...
The need for fresh .blOod VAMPS is strong in me.

RE: So how'd it go?
That's very well-said, Mme. H. I feel like I should mention - after the Columbia show, when the band came out to meet with fans, there was quite a crowd of people that gathered around K.A.Z. He definitely is appreciated and has fans!

And yes, K.A.Z is great to see in person...such a shy, sweet guy! Very soft-spoken and kind. He even signed my little fan twice because the pen was getting low on ink the first time.

LOL.....I'd been stressing the same points essentially, though more subtly, for weeks now. I just didn't think it was worth the effort to spell it out due to the ensuing book-length response that is sure to follow. (see my prev post)

Well said.

In an open letter to VAMPS, ~~~
I’m in awe and I love you.

That is exactly Kazu to a T. He's very silent or quiet in interviews/photo shoots etc. But once he has a guitar in his hands he doesn't need his voice, his guitar speaks for him. Music is his life, his world. You can see how deeply he loves it just by watching how dedicated he is to his job. He always puts in 110% no matter what, if it's a short set of 5 songs or a hour and a half long concert. Even behind the scenes in the studio he puts in all he has and more. lol so true. I'm so happy I was even able to see him in 3D twice! I'm glad both hyde and kaz were as amazing on the west coast as on the east coast. (hehe! I'm posting this through my new phone!)

Ssynny, I didn't think they could be better than expected. And they were. I was so excited to meet hyde in person, I made a complete fool of myself, at the signing. Still, I had no idea how powerful and moving and sexy - oh, and funny, sometimes - it would be to see him live.

I refer you to my full review, if you didn't catch my loving observations.

Hope that icey doesn't mind they let the rest of the band onstage. - I'm just teasing you, icey! I'm teasing!

Also,

hyde was beguilingly pale, at the signing. Yes, even "tired" is conferred grace, when worn by hyde.

K.A.Z, as I've said above, plus the most charming smile.

Thanks for sacrificing your daytime sleep, Boys!

And the quote from K.A.Z may actually have been, "The fans were delicious." But then he quickly said he was just joking. Yes, K.A.Z .

Oh! P.S. - oooo, congrats on a new phone!
I am the Desire...
The need for fresh .blOod VAMPS is strong in me.

RE: So how'd it go?
First of all I was not putting Hyde down at all. I was speaking of people who put Kaz down. But if you think I was putting Hyde down sorry. I've seen many people on here and other wise saying pretty crappy things about Kaz, so there fore I am used to defending him. Sorry for doing so. Sorry I don't "respect his reputation and his career". I didn't realize I wasn't respecting him at all. And yes he is the underdog, how many times have I seen so much written about Hyde? How great he is etc. I'm not saying it's wrong because he deserves the love but why is it wrong for me to think Kaz deserves some of it as well? Of course at the lives and after people are going to flock to him, he's part of VAMPS but does it mean they truly respect him? I don't know. Its no different then people flocking to Jin or Arimatsu. They are famous and its a natural habit to flock to someone famous.

But I'll just shut up now. Sorry for defending him and what not. I'll just let it go and let people dog on Kaz.

The man in the mask begs to differ. Jin is objectively awesome, and plays the keyboard with such a commanding grace that I can barely contain myself when he conducts his mystical magic across the keys. His goatee is the jet black steel wool of the gods. His command of keyboard and glowy drumstick techniques are in a class by themselves........ DO NOT BAG ON MY JIN-CHAN!!!

I forgive you.

I was hoping he'd throw the keys from his keyboard into the crowd for us to catch.....but alas, he didn't. Icon_gonk

RE: So how'd it go?
Well I would log in but right now...I'm too tired, haha.

I drove 27 hours not including stops to see this show, I came all the way from Wisconsin because even though East Coast was closer, this concert was most convenient with my friend's work schedules. Well not only did I have a blast with those I met in line, I must say the signing is different than anything. Maybe it was different before the groups I was with went through, but I saw no fangirling or anything. Everyone sort of...stared in awe.

The concert was fantastic, the boys were amazing. I will say this...I did almost get kicked out. They had us get rid of all our cameras before the show and I walked 15 min back to my hotel then 15 min back because I had no where else to put it. Well when I got into the concert, for some dumb reason I thought it would be interesting to see what my phone camera could even see from my spot (we were up on a ramp so we could see the whole show, but it was far back and dark) and this was about 20 minutes before the concert started. Just as I thought it couldn't see anything, basically it looked like street lamps several feet away. I put my phone away and rocked out to the concert. 20 minutes later, the concert started and 4 songs in a security guard came by me and searched me for a camera o.O He said someone told him I had been taking pictures...which I had not outside that one before the show. That kind of sucked...but quite frankly I got to stay and that's all that matters because HYDE was fantastic, K.A.Z played like no other, and Ju-Ken ran the freakin' stage! Haha

Oh, did anyone else notice HYDE crying during Sweet Dreams? No one mentioned it so I thought I'd ask.
