Sure you're going to get some bruises but getting the crap beaten out of you for no reason other than being an ass is uncalled for. This person I'm speaking of was in front of this girl and was intentionally doing this stuff to her. Crushing her fingers too while she tried to hold onto the barricade so she didn't get pushed over, yeah that's not really "nice". Some people were even BLEEDING from how rough it was. I've heard other complaints as well as for how rude the crowd was in NYC. It's not just people passing out because that can happen anywhere from heat and/or other causes. **Sorry for the language**

I agree, THAT is ridiculous.

I guess since I feel like none of us are animals... "don't punch people" seems to go without saying to this group. So telling anyone here not to do things like that seemed so unnecessary that I guess I jumped to conclusions as to what we were talking about.

I hope what I said didn't make me seem like an advocate of that sort of thing. If I saw someone fall down or get hurt OBVIOUSLY I would help them. If I saw someone being viciously attacked, of course I would help them.

Hopefully we understand each other.

the only reason why we post threads like this is to make sure of fans safety not to restrict ppl from having the best night of there life. and it was mandatory rules from HP so im sorry if you dont agree with it. see you on monday.

Believe me one may not feel like an animal right now, but most of the fans that went to the east coast lives felt the same way. Is not like they go thinking "I'm going to hit someone today". Euphoria and emotions take over reason. It happens with most humans so it's not like we think everyone here is an animal and goes around trying to hurt people. I think 10 people out of the 300 are more than necessary to harm the rest and ruin all the fun. Even if it's not by hurting them but by crashing them towards the barrier just because they want to be closer to the band "they love" but didn't mind lining up earlier. Those are the same that cut into line and believe me it it's not a few.

I've seen girls lining up next to me and you may never think they were going to be the first ones pulling your hair and bouncing their way to get you out of there.

This thread is merely to warn those that let go of themselves in that stupid way that it won't be tolerated specially since the venue is so small. We can always call security and they can wait one more year to see vamps again. I'm not getting anymore bruises ¬¬!

Oh and Please MEMORIZE who is in front if you and behind you and make sure if you see someone else bringing 4 friends that weren't there from the start you tell the rest about it. Of course we don't work for the venue and of course we don't own the line.. but you wouldn't believe all the arguments these people have for cutting into line, is just lame. If they don't belong there. They must go to the back!!!

May I add that please let the people around you know the number in your group.....there are 3 of us in my group for example and one or two may be off at any one time for a break or to fetch something. I feel as long as we say up front...I have one or two, etc other people with me we should be ok. Because everyone is going to be in line and be seen at some point before they take off for whatever reason.

(07-20-2009, 04:18 PM)ccchan2630 Wrote: I wasn't going to say anything... but I can't say that I fully agree with this. I hope that everybody has a good time and no body gets hurt but I think it's silly to demand that everyone "behave" themselves just because you're afraid of normal show behavior. People who are intent on being at the very front are going to push and shove to get there and those that don't like it should naturally make way.

It's like the unwritten rule of shows. Everyone wants to be right up there where the band is. Why should only a few people who want their own "space" get to be up at the front rather than those who wouldn't mind sharing their space with others so that more people get to be closer. If you can't hang, and you should know your limits, then you shouldn't be at the front. Your general admission ticket entitles you to the same rights as anyone else there... so you get to choose if faring the crowd at the front is... worth being at the front.

I feel that not doing whatever you can, within reason, to get to be closer to a band that you really look up to and like is disrespectful to the band. When musicians play, they feed off of the energy of the audience (like vampires) and a healthy mix of respect for the person next to you and selfishness for making your experience better is a part of it.

Maybe what I'm saying will be misunderstood as extreme and people will think I'm saying that ribs need to be broken and people need to be trampled, and maybe I'm misunderstanding and you guys aren't being as extreme as I feel that you are... but come on!

I've heard that the New York show was "intense" but I haven't heard one full on complaint of the events that transpired. The VAMPS twitter even said that the NY fans were "awesome". Someone passed out? They probably didn't know their limits, be sure to be WELL HYDRATED and move to the back if you begin to be overwhelmed.

No offense but if you can't handle the intensity of a live show... maybe you should just listen to your CDs at home.

THIS x100.

If you're gonna complain about being hurt and having "mean people" behind you then GET OUT OF THE FRONT. Obviously that's what they want and they're going to get it however they can, which may mean hurting you to get there. Have none of you ever been to a live show before?? If you've had your chance to see the band close then move over and let someone else in and save us from reading your rants later. Don't come back to the forum and complain like a baby that you're sore and injured - you should have expected that going in. Half the people going to the shows are either just rock concert fans, other j-rock fans or know of Hyde and don't actually care about VAMPS at all. You can't expect everyone to be nice to you because of this so-called 'fan unity'.

This goes double for the people attending several shows who think they always need to be first or on the rail. Give some other fans who might be at their only show a chance and back off.

THIS x100.

I highly doubt the ticket entitles you to just go and be rude for the sake of being in front of the band, that's what early lining up is for. Seattle didn't have a mosh pit and neither did portland. You can't tell someone that camped out for more than a day that they should just let people have their way just because "they can't take injuries".

We are not talking about fan unity we are talking about common sense and respect. I expect someone to be nice to me since I'm not doing anything to them, if they aren't nice to me then I can always call security and they can be removed. And by the way is hard to get "hydrated" while being surrounded by people that think like you and think pushing and hurting people came with the admission ticket. it doesn't only happen in the front. People fainted cause they were smashed in-between bodies and had to be carried away.

It's not a free for all fight it's a concert. One should not expect this. Loving the band playing does not entitle you to run over everyone. If you want to be in the front line up early.

And of course Vamps Twitter is not going to say: And many people had to be take away!

If you don't want to read our rants just don't do it. The post is about behavior for the show. We had to do this since what happened in NY. If you don't care about it just don't post about it. Is not like everyone is going to behave we are just saying that if someone doesn't we can call security since is such a small venue, that's it.

And I've been to many Jrock concerts before. Just so you know it wasn't like in the N.Y show.

You sat all day and you got up front and good for you. But now your complaining about clothes being ruined and your injured. It was your decision to stay there and put up with it so why complaining now. People on railing at ANY rock concert has that so you must be going to mild bands. I go to them and usually come out sore from being smooshed or kicked. People dont mean to hurt others but it happens. As long as you have fun and there is no reason to be mean during the show or whinge about it later.

Yes we all expect to be treated how we treat others. Taking up a large space on the rail when you don't need it is not fair or is telling other people not to let those behind you move up. because that cannot be controlled by one person.
Stop your concert experience to call security and good luck on asking them to crowd control hundreds of people. But it will just waste time.

I am going only to Vegas and want to enjoy so to find out information and see all this complaining from fans and 'behavior rules' from people who think they are in charge is silly. If I want to be close to the band for a bit then I will get there and that requires pushing but there is no reason to be mean because your at the front allready. Let the other person enjoy for a song and then move so someone else can come up. Why can't people just do this and take turns? There isn't one person who should be front every time. Everyone can have fun if people in front werent so mean about keeping their spot and then get angry about being hurt for it later.

I am different "guest" from last person. Forum log-in is not sent to email yet. See you at Vegas.

RE: Behavior for the show!!!
I think some of you are seriously misunderstanding all this.

Normal concert behavior is expected!

We KNOW that people push and shove at concerts. Everyone expects that. That's normal.

Purposely pulling chunks of hair out of the person in front of you is NOT NORMAL. Note that I said purposely.

THAT is what people are warning against. That is what happened during the NY show. People were purposely hurting others so that they could get to the front.

Something similar happened last time HYDE came to the states. A group of Japanese fans (wearing spikes, I heard) were hurting and starting fights with other fans because they didn't think foreign fans deserved to be in the front. I believe there was almost a fist fight.

THAT is the behavior people are warning about. Abnormal, I-will-kill-anyone-to-get-to-HYDE behavior from basement dwelling fangirls with no social skills. (probably the same girls who think they're going to marry hyde).

So yes, NORMAL behavior (pushing, jumping) is fine, just not throat slitting.

Yes, you might be bruised and maybe scratched and that's fine. I'm a bit sore. But no one should get their teeth knocked out just because they are lucky enough to be in front of someone else.

Accidental injuries always happen. We're just discouraging purposely attacking others.

Also, I was at the front (2nd-ish row, almost 1st) at Baltimore concert and nobody tried to murder me. So if you think that behavior is normal you must go to some very violent concerts. But VAMPS in not exactly heavy death metal, so no one expects that.

Sonar security seemed pretty good too. They were right in front of us the whole time giving us water and whatnot. I saw them stop several people from filming/taking pictures (of course some people still got some, but they were farther back). They also pulled out anyone who wanted out. And I heard they stopped someone from crowdsurfing?

There was also the autograph session which may have helped people chill out a bit.

By the way, violent fans can be anywhere in the crowd. So it's not always people up front who get hurt.

If there is people that cut in line in front of someone that has been camping out the whole day be up front because like you say "no one is in charge", do you really think they are willing to take turns?

You are saying that no one has the right to be up front even if they camp out. What are lines for then? Will you just arrive and be up front of the line just because no one is in charge? That "you don't own the venue" crap has been going around on the big east coast shows. And that line came from people that showed up 3 hours before the live and wanted to be first in line. Do we really need "someone to be in charge" to abide to common sense, courtesy rules regarding others? From what I've seen in the past concerts this is were the so called fan unity appears. In not letting someone else cut in line just because there is no one "officially in charge"

I wished we could just take turns but since people won't even recognize common courtesy rules towards other or at least acknowledge the fact that the other person spent all night there so they could be where they are standing, taking turns is out of the question.

Lol...no one is going to hate you!!
We all agree that pushing forward is one thing. Everyone wants a good view and there seem to be a lot of us who are short......good thing if we are the same size.
We also agree that being physically nasty to someone else should not be tolerated.
I don't expect to be in the front row at any of the shows....there is only so much space and too many people who want to be there. I'd rather be at the back/side (as long as I can see) than get mauled up front.
Just my opinion.
