COME ON PORTLAND PEOPLE!
It's really hard being the only person in town working on this stuff!
I was really, really hoping that other people in the Portland area would be willing to help me place some fliers and posters, and hit some of the places that are harder for me to get to (like downtown, college campuses, the far East side of town.) I don't understand why we're having such problems on the west coast, and it makes me SO SAD to know that if these shows don't do well, other jrock bands may see that and not come here either.
And I don't want VAMPS to look back on the Portland/Seattle shows and remember them as being really empty and lame. Or not even remember them at all.
VAMPS coming to Portland (and having an autograph session in Seattle) is a dream come true for me. I'm taking time off work to sit outside the Hawthorne Theatre with my banner and thank you card on the day of the show, and I've spent more of my own personal money on all of this stuff (the banner/card, ads, fliers, glow bracelets, etc etc) than I'd care to admit, because I want this Portland show to be as awesome as it can possibly be.
So seriously, I will take any help (or suggestions) I can get with promoting this show in the small amount of time we have left. I'm about to receive a MASSIVE amount of official fliers and a few posters, and then I still have about 700 of the yellow and pink fliers I made myself - if anyone can help me place some, that would be awesome. This weekend is going to be very VAMPS-tastic... I'll be decorating Portland with the fliers and working on the thank you card (*cough*starting*cough*) and re-posting stuff all over the internet.
So that's where I'm at. Excited and frustrated.
