Hey!! J is supposed to come back to the U.S. tomorrow in order to work on some VAMPS promotions and such. He sent me the following message:

"Hi HP-

I am coming to LA tomorrow and will be in the US working on promotions and preparations for the tour. I might be in the US for 10 days, but not sure yet. I will have samples of the new CD with me, so I can send them one and call their as well if needed. Please discuss it with the others and let me know what you all need. I can send out some of the new CDs to other stations if you think there is a chance they will play the songs.

Also, I would like to see what ads are running on MySpace and Google, and Facebook, because if I can get them approved, I can have VAMPROSE start paying for those so you can all start saving your money.

You are all doing AWESOME work though, thank you sooooo much!

Ok, on my end I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone from KIIS FM. The jocks at KROQ seem to know about VAMPS, but I'm not quite sure if they just pretend like they do in order to get me off the phone. If anyone else has made any progress with any radio station, please respond to this thread and let me know what you might need, so I message J and let him know as well. Jazmin, I think this one is right up your alley. I can't get through to the KIIS FM request line at all, so I will call their business line tomorrow (again).

In terms of the fliers, please post the links to your fliers here or provide some way of showing them to J because as he mentions above, VAMPROSE may pay for them if they're approved. AnyVAMPS, have a good one everyone & Godspeed. ;)

Hey! Well, some of the street team members and I have placed ads on Facebook, MySpace, and Google ads to promote VAMPS' upcoming tour. We paid for the ads ourselves (with the help of donations of course). However, VAMPROSE is considering to pay for the ads if they are approved. No, we will not be reimbursed for what we have spent thus far (and that goes for the fliers as well).

Neu Bauhaus is the company in charge of promoting VAMPS' U.S. tour. They have mailed out a bunch of fliers and posters to fans who have agreed to pass them out/post them in their areas. Fans who gave the Neu Bauhaus staff their addresses should have received the fliers by now. The fliers that have been sent out by Neu Bauhaus are also official VAMPS tour fliers. The Neu Bauhaus staff does not charge fans to have the fliers mailed either. ;)

As for the radio stations, we're checking out both stations online and of course, regular FM stations. We're pretty much pulling out all the stops in terms of promoting this tour because the tickets MUST sell out! It's very, very crucial that the tickets for VAMPS' U.S. tour completely sell out, so we are doing everything we can to ensure that they do. If you're interested in helping out, there's a thread in the "General" forum that has a contact list of radio stations in the cities that VAMPS shows will take place. You can call them and request songs. Or, you can check out the online radio stations and try requesting VAMPS there as well. You can also check out the thread "VAMPS Sponsors and Promoting ideas" for more info on ways you can help.

I am also creating a fanbook for VAMPS that will include fanart/messages from fans all over the world. The deadline to submit stuff was yesterday (June 1st), however, the deadline has been extended until next week (June 12th). If you really want to participate, but you feel you may need more time, please send me a PM and I'd be glad to grant you a longer extension. We need as much fanart/messages as we can get. ;) AnyVAMPS, if you've anymore questions/concerns, please feel free to ask me or anyone else on this forum. Regarding artwork and messages, I just might take you up on that extension.

If you find that people aren't catching on to the call for art and messages, you might consider giving it its own forum, for the subject line to catch people's eye on this board's home page, then link to the threads about the book, from there.

I've been requesting the songs but so far they keep saying they either don't know who vamps is or don't have their music even though i sent them cds >_< I do think though if the CDs came from J and was official we would have a better chance at getting the songs played on air

You can also buy ad space on LiveJournal and sponsor videos on YouTube. I had contacted LiveJournal about the cost and guidelines but they never got back to me. I hadn't checked into YouTube yet. But J. might want to investigate those two as part of the advertising campaign. JAme also has advertising. I know VAMPS is listed under concerts but it is kinda far down on the page.

Wow, exciting news! Keep up the good work guys. I've been secretly running around campus at night distributing the VAMPS fliers as if they were party invitations. I saw some back on the floor. Being nature-friendly, I picked it up and stuck the flier on to the nearest car. =D

Anyways, not to be pessimistic and a jerk, but when has any of the U.S. Radio stations ever played any foreign music besides Feliz Navidad in December? Chances are slim and KIIS FM is probably the one who really doesn't care about rock let alone jrock. They play a lot of hiphop and r&b just because it's very popular. (dont get me wrong, I have nothing against that). KROQ might give VAMPS a shot. Nonetheless, I hope I didn't offend anyone. Like I said, keep up the good work, I'm sure a miracle will happen.

Well, that's why we need to call in and request VAMPS. I mean, obviously it's not going to work if only 4 or 5 people are calling. If every single one of us called KIIS FM at least more than once a day, that's hundreds of calls, KIIS FM would have no choice but to listen. Aside from that, we also need to contact the music director (collectively) and request VAMPS be played on the air. The more people who call, the more effective this will be. There is always strength in numbers. Not to sound naive, but if many of us keep calling and requesting VAMPS, then VAMPS will have a shot at being played on the air. If we don't come together and do this as a group, then this effort will surely fail, as opposed to having even a slight possibility of success.

I know what we're up against when it comes to KIIS FM, but again, if there are only a few of us helping, then it's not going to work. We need to tie up their phone lines if need be until VAMPS get some airplay. That way, they'll know we're serious.
