Hello all fellow VAMPS fans! My name is Alexis for starters lol. But anyway, as most of you know, besides getting banners signed and T-shirts made, there's another big problem: promotion of the VAMPS tour. And it's quite a big problem too, as without promotion, not so many people will attend the tour (we want them all SOLD OUT) and then everyone's efforts in their projects for VAMPS might not be as appreciated as they should be. So, besides all of the basic ways of promoting- making flyers, posting them about, harassing radio stations lol - I thought of an idea of my own, that's actually pretty simple and less time consuming than some others (as I too am very busy with school and don't have time to do a lot).
The idea is this: I'm going to make a video promoting the tour, and then totally SPAM every VAMPS/Hyde video that comes into my sight. By spamming, I mean either posting the video as a response, or posting a link to the video in a comment. The Internet is a great resource to get word around so I thought it was a pretty good idea. So what I'm asking YOU all is: do you have YouTube accounts? Do you know how to make videos? Anyone that does can make their own. Then, once it's all done and uploaded, the spammage can begin. Now, don't just think you have to do all the spammage yourself; recruit friends to spam your video around as well!! What I'd like is anyone who likes this idea and ends up making a promtional VAMPS video, post it here and anyone that wants to help but doesn't know how to make videos themselves can take the link and do their own spammage! A lot of people doing this at once will really help.
So.....WHAT do I want you to do?
If you CAN and know HOW to make videos:
1. Whatever program you want to use is fine with me. Just make the video flashy and attention-grabbing, we want whoever clicks on it to want to keep watching. (Keep in mind, we especially want to grab those poor souls who don't even know who VAMPS are). You don't have to make it like SPECTACULAR or anything with like a 1000 effects....unless you really want too. XDD Think of it as making it like a movie preview- even if someone might not know any of the actors in the movie, you still want them to go see it.
2. In the video, use pictures or video clips to show who each member is for the people watching who don't know who VAMPS are. And meaning EVERYONE, not just HYDE and K.A.Z. There are three very other important people who make up the band too y'know.
3. Obviously, you should use one of their songs as background music so people can get an idea of what music they compose. You can use more than one if you want as well (if you're a more experienced video maker like me, you'll know how to do this. )
4. In the video, make sure you post links to websites where info about the tour can be obtained, such as here VAMPS' MySpace Blog or here VAMPS Official Website. Then, where to buy tickets: vampsliveusa.com
5. Make the title of the video eye-catching as well, so people will actually consider clicking on it. XDD Something like "SEXY ASIANS LIVE 2009" or something (lol, I wonder how many hits that would get?) or "CALLING ALL VAMPS ADDICTS" etc. Be creative! The rest is ENTIRELY up to you!

If you do NOT know how to make videos
1. SPAMMAGE. And not just mindless spammage, but spammage that will make a difference! Spam every VAMPS PV video, every VAMPS interview video, every "Making Of *insert VAMPS PV here*" video, EVERY video that has HYDE and K.A.Z in it, I COMMAND you to spam. >:D Also spam HYDE's PVs as well.
2. You can spam two ways: either add the video as a response or post a link to the video in a comment. OR BOTH. :D
3. People are NOT exempt from this VAMPSpammage. You know those people whose entire purpose on YouTube is to upload PVs or random performances/videos of a band? Find those people who do that for VAMPS or HYDE and contact them!! Send THEM the video, and then ask them to send it to their VAMPS-loving subscribers. They aren't hard to find; whilst spamming, click on the username of the video-provider and go on their profile, looking through their videos. If their videos consist mainly of VAMPS performances or interviews, etc, you found one! :D
4. If you really don't care about your friend list lol, go around adding VAMPS-loving fans to your friends and then when you got a good group of them, send them ALL the video at once, telling THEM to spread the word as well!!
5. Just in case, utterly SPAM L'Arc videos/video people too, as a good bunch of us L'arc fans love VAMPS too.

....I think that's the gist of it! If you don't have a YouTube account, it's very easy to create one! So how about it? Wanna help me out? I know it SEEMS like a lot to do, but trust me, you can get some SERIOUS spammage in if you sacrifice 20 minutes a day to do so. VAMPS' vids are NOT hard to find and posting comments doesn't take very long either. I hope to make my own video this weekend and when you make yours, post it here as well so we can all see it and share it. Sure you can be outside playing in your yard or watching a movie or sumthin, but why do that when you can be on your computer doing something that matters? :3

Ha ha ha...nice. Wanna know what I did today? I posted a comment about the tour on every single VAMPS video that's on YouTube. Surprisingly, it took a while to do it. I'll get to the 50 billion L'Arc/HYDE videos later. ;) Good job btw!

Wow...so sad. But to each his own right? Have you heard the original version? It's pretty cool, but very different than that of VAMPS. "Life on Mars" once again demonstrates VAMPS' versatility. VAMPS-tastic.

Life on Mars tells Bowie's view on society and dull everyday life, the hassles and problems there are, the nonsense of society. Maybe there's better life somewhere else?
