As I know you all will know, by the time you read this ~ and some of you know all too well, I'm sure ~ a record 8.9 earthquake, centered at Sendai, and a resulting tsunami and aftershocks have devastated Japan, beginning yesterday, 3/11, at about 2:30pm, Japan time (which was 3/10, about 9:30pm, U.S. Pacific west coast time).

Those here who live in or are visiting effected areas, please let us all know here, how you are, touch base with all of us and keep us informed.

To our friends and loved ones and all in Japan, and everywhere else affected by this terrible disaster, our hearts reach out to you!

I was watching info on this last night on Al Jazeera, quite terrible damage.

Over on livejournal there are a few posts saying that VAMPS/LArc/Monoral/Oblivion Dust are all okay.

Apparently Hyde was online some time ago, and there was been twitter updates from Danger Crue people.

Was also reading replies from people over at FuckedGaijin who live in Japan, seems there is a lot of aftershocks. Someone reported that they were stuck in traffic for 10 hours because the highway was closed.

Lots of people stranded from trains closed, stores emptied out as people shop for food/batteries, lots of houses washed away..

Also, apparently Fukushima's #1 nuclear plant is/was having cooling problems.

Unfortunately, by all the washed away cars and houses I'm going to say there is probably going to be huge casualties. Also, older wooden buildings may have collapsed on people.

Oh god, those pictures are just heart-wrenching. ;_; Seriously, I nearly cried at many of them

Really grateful to hear that it would appear that it seems that all the musicians and other people I care deeply about in Japan (hopefully that doesn't sound selfish or anything) are okay. I'm probably not the first one to send a message to J, asking if everything was all right, but I did and I hope he gets back to me soon.

Also, in the midst of sending K.A.Z a message, even though he doesn't reply.

I started watching the horror around 1:30 am Pacific Time. The devastation was terrifying then and it only got worse.

Japan will recover....but when and what the cost is anyone's guess. My heart goes out to the families of everyone who perished. I keep thinking of the children who were lost.

While I mourn for the whole country, I was glad to hear Jack Danger's report that those who I hold dear in my heart were safe. I hope their relatives are also. This is a time beyond belief...........

Amazing how fast the internet works these days.

I still wouldn't mind an official statement from the official blogs and such that everyone is all right. Not that I'm doubting everyone's words, but it would really take a load off my mind. HYDE and K.A.Z have touched my heart and so many different ways, if I heard something bad had happened to them, I'd be heartbroken, you know? :c
