Yeah I also ended up using HMV since I ordered 2 with a friend and shipping charges didn't go up ^^.

i pre-ordered when HMV 1st offered it because i wanted the JitB book too. but i did recheck the price, at the time i pre-ordered, i got a cheaper unit price than is reflected atm. i might have gotten a member discount, can't remember. but it was cheaper than CDJapan's rate. i go with EMS either way, so shipping comes out pretty similar. oddly, the shipping did not go up at all with the 2nd, smaller JitB pb. so 2 books for about the same rate. good deal. and i've preferred CDJapan for a while now, from now on i will always compare if i can. ^ ^

with HMV, I haven't been able to figure out their shipping rate. their estimates go by the number of CDs you purchase and the price for shipping will change once your order has been shipped depending on the weight. I went and looked back at my emails from when I bought MV vol. 6 (the one that included the t-shirt), and it looks like at the time of the pre-order, they estimated shipping was 1200 yen (since it was only 1 product) but when they sent me an email after they shipped it, the shipping rate went up one and was 1500 yen. Since that's the only time I ever bought a "book" from HMV, I can't give an estimate on how much the US photobook may change in shipping but... just thought I'd share so you won't be too surprised if the shipping rate goes up when you get your "your order has been shipped" email.

now that you mention it, i've gotten some magazines from them before and had that happen. it really doesn't matter which online store or service you use, it will always be way too much for the actuall goods. magazines are killer because the shipping can be double or higher over the actual object's price. D;

The photobook is set to be released on October 31st, according to CDJapan.com. It's pretty cheap, so pre-order it if you can!

HMV seemed to have issues with my country [like they didn't know about Puerto Rico and PO Box addresses -_-] and they never gave me the price in US conversion so I ended with CDjapan [and they accept PayPal, which is a GOOD thing].

About the DVD, I've seen the prices in both places, and I don't know if will be willing to pay so much for them...I mean, I never payed so much for a DVD.

And I want both VAMPS DVD's and Ken's too -_- And in Ebay those prices won't go down yet, not like L'arc or HYDE's Fatih Tour DVD.

By the way...

someone knows where I can find HYDE's concert DVD from the 666 tour? I think it was also called 666. I've seen images of the cover and everything, but not where I can get it.

im pretty sure the 666 live was only televised and not released on DVD.

I think you are right. You would have to get a copy from someone who recorded the show.
