Ah, okay, that does seem to be the same building in the first photo (I see the white on the top, which I think is a parking garage on top of the building). The second picture looks like the overpass that's across the street. I think we're on the right track here Google Earth is helping a lot with getting to know the way around the area.

I believe the parking lot in the foreground of my first photo is the designated parking area for Sonar (according to their site).

I'm wondering about parking. Because it says it's free, but on the site under info, it also says, "The parking lot is metered until 6pm Monday-Friday." ...so is it free or not?! Or am I just overlooking something simple? |D

I think it's because most if not every of their shows start from 7 pm to 11 pm, so their parking lot is cheap as far as they are on business. Before that I guess it belongs to baltimore.

Judging from their Twitter responses, I think they're not used to people arriving before 6pm to see shows. I'd expect to pay (from the Google Earth street view, it looks like the sign on the parking lot said $2-something...an hour, I guess? Nevermind, I think I was looking at the wrong parking lot! I think the lot is under the overpass.)

Hm, this is definitely going to be interesting... especially if some of us arrive very early, it's going to be hard to figure out where to line up... :/

This reminds me of the Dir en Grey show in NY - the venue just looked like a parking garage. Actually, the area around it was just loading docks. |D Damn, this will be interesting, that's for sure...

Yeah, looking around Google Earth and reading reviews of the place didn't really make me feel like it's a great area.. I don't think I'd be comfortable camping out there. Someone said that the parking lot is pretty dark at night, too, but I can't really find much about it.

Here's a satellite view of the area:


The parking lot is, I believe under that overpass at the top. Sonar would be that building with the cars on the roof. It looks like there might be a new building to the right of it, but I don't know whether the satellite imagery or the street views are more up to date.

Anyway, there's a sidewalk across the street (next to the parking lot entrance) that might be a good place to start a line. There also appears to be a bit more sidewalk in front of the building to the left of Sonar (which you can kinda see here), so that might work, too. What do y'all think?

I start to feel like a CIA agent, so we land on the roof? lol

I know this is way off topic to what is being discussed right now, but does
anyone have any idea if there will be an opening act? Just wondering.
