NY Hotels
So,
I've only been to NY once and there may be others that have never been there. Anyone know good, clean, cheap hotels near the venue?
The New Yorker Hotel seems to be right across the street and I think the cheapest room was a bit over $200 a night. In the reviews, there were some complaints about rooms being dirty and outdated, anyone stay there in recent years?
Any other hotel recommendations or complaints?

I have put around 9 hours of researching into hotels at the moment (yeah I like clean and nice so it is worth my time to research) and am still juggling options. You are going to pay a lot unless you stay in a dorm-type room or a hostel.
If you are planning on staying at the Pennsylvania, which is the closest to the venue, please check the reviews and bedbug registry first.

RE: NY Hotels
In 2010 I used the YMCA @ Harlem since TWO of the hotels that I made RSVP cancelled [one for a flood, another for over-booking] two days before the trip, so in the end beside being my VERY last option it was pretty clean and all.
It had a common bathroom yes, but I was used to do that in Campus dorms so it was okay for me and it was very quiet at nights.
And in the end saved like $300 that I could use to do more stuff in NYC, although THIS time I'm gonna choose a place that it won't cancel at the last minute, and the sad thing was that the two places that cancelled my RSVP were pretty close to the Roseland Ballroom...oh well -__-
That's why this time I'm also making my reservation with the group of friends that I made in the VAMPS line back in 2010 *__* so much memories to share!!

RE: NY Hotels
Eek, for bed bugs, the bed bug registry has at least 12 reports for Pennsylvania hotel and The New Yorker Hotel has at least 1 report that I've seen.
If I get to go I definitely don't want to be bringing bugs back with me.

RE: NY Hotels
Hello, so I'm on the same boat... I was looking into Pennsylvania Hotel... so now I see is a bad option... But hotel is not my first priority, I need to know how to purchase tickets... I guess through ticketmaster will do with an international credit card, so if anyone had gone to previous vamps concert and now how it works it will be very helpful... sorry my english sucks! then, I will ask my boss who was recently at NY in which hotel she stayed.
If they won't come to Argentina, then I will go to Europe. April 11th at London and April 14th at Paris

For international buyers tickets must be as 'will call' which means that you must be there like 1-2 hours before the show and be ready when the 'will call tickets' are called and then show your ID and the SAME CREDIT CARD that you used to buy the ticket [if you're using your mom's and she is not going, it's gonna be a problem] for anything else, it's nice because in my case I had the chance to hear VAMPS rehearse Secret in My Heart [one of my favorites] and started to scream because of it *__*

RE: NY Hotels
when I stayed in manhattan for the vamps show at the irving plaza I stayed at hotel 17, which just a few blocks from the venue. the room was a tiny closet with a common bathroom, but it was within walking distance to the venue and it was clean and quite. I learned that the 6 subway train takes me almost anywhere you want to go. since msg is in manhattan, I recommend just finding a hotel close to the subway lines. it's only about $2.50 or so per trip no matter how far along the line you go. in fact i took the subway/bus back the airport from my hotel for $2.50!
I'm not sure if I'll stay at hotel 17 again, but hold your options open.

RE: NY Hotels
When you say common bathroom do you mean just a regular private bath or do you mean some type of shared 'common area' bathroom?
