RE: VAMPS PIANO DUET PV
It's not that I don't like it--it's a very lovely PV--but I feel slightly disappointed in this one. It just feels a tad less active than the other PV's. With the MEMORIES PV, most of it was just walking, but you at least had the flashbacks to the acoustic performance and the live performances to pad it out and emphasize the overall theme of the song. With this, it's just playing the piano (although sometimes not) and K.A.Z walking. Also, I can't help but be slightly disappointed that despite the song being named PIANO DUET, there's no "duet" to it :C
EDIT - Although I compliment that the emoting and lip syncing are MUCH better.
In a way, though... you could say that the two PV's are connected. In the MEMORIES PV, you see HYDE grabbing his scarf and leaving the house-boat or whatever, reminiscing about his beloved memories and in this PV, you see K.A.Z. um... grab his scarf and leave the house-boat in the exact same manner that HYDE does and... do something, I guess. But you see what I mean? It's sort of like a bit more of K.A.Z's perspective during the same event.
TL;DR Great PV, though not as great as the previous, although apparently connected.

RE: VAMPS PIANO DUET PV
The pv is lovely, as you say, yet too simple, and I can't believe that I actually cried while watching it xD
I was holding the hand I used to shake Hyde's hand and Kaz's hand, remembering their touch... and then I couldn't stop crying xDDD (damn that 30 seconds of the devil side contest fanmeeting, that moment will haunt me forever lol)
thanks for sharing <3333

Well, the song is about someone who is no longer living on earth, that used to play the piano, and they probably used to have duets, or something, (i'm getting this from the lyrics of the song)
and i think that by calling it Piano Duet it gives some sort of effect, maybe a dramatic because "this person" is missing, and is somewhere up in the heavens, and you obviously need two people for a duet thus i think this may have what he was going for, I write my own lyrics and this is what i was getting from the song's translation. I love this song to pieces.
Piano Duet was released, or is going to be offically released tomorrow, (^-^ my birthday) along with "Memories" as it's side
so maybe thats why the PV's are similar.. I don't really know.

RE: VAMPS PIANO DUET PV
The PV, to be honest, is dull... I did not feel as excited and impacted like I did with MEMORIES. Even though I dont understand Japanese, I always feel a sense of emotion somewhere in the visuals of any L'Arc, HYDE, VAMPS PV, but for this particular one... I only see hyde play the piano and kaz standing in the same spot for the longest time. We never even get to see kaz's face when hes playing the guitar...
hmm wait a minute. The post above me has a good point. The song is about " someone who is no longer living on earth, that used to play the piano, and they probably used to have duets, or something"
Perhaps kaz is that person who is no longer there. We see him walk out and look lost. And we dont see his face while he plays the guitar is because he is gone from hyde... just my two cents

RE: VAMPS PIANO DUET PV
I really like this PV. I think it is actually one of their best. I really love the overall colour grade of the video. I think it's good that you never see K.A.Z and hyde in the same shot because as stated above if you have read the lyrics it is about someone who cannot say "thankyou"/show his love to their piano teacher[I think?] because they have left earth;in heaven now. That's why It seems really sad how K.A.Z just stands there and looks up at the sky thinking about the person or even hyde.(because one day they will have to return to their other bands and say goodbye to the memories they shared together for awhile).
Since they are never together in the PV it really makes it seem kind of lonely and I think it will be sad when VAMPS go on their break because they really have developed into such a great band. That loneliness/sad theme I can kinda feel in the lyrics and chorus too.
It's also nice to see hyde sitting at the piano. I don't think I've ever seen him sitting at one..ever?
It seems simple and nice and the opposite to the Memories PV so it makes a good balance on the DVD I guess...

While those are both reasonable interpretations, the problem I feel is that it doesn't come across that way. At least not to me. It's like the infamous potato chip scene in Death Note. I know it's supposed to sound dramatic and exciting, but... it's not. It's just not. Although that scene was at least laughably bad. =P

He was fooling around with JIN's keyboard sets on the VAMPS LIVE 2009 documentary but he's never done any serious playing to my knowledge. The scenes of HYDE playing the piano here are all so obviously mimed, though. It doesn't deteriorate the beauty of the PV, but it does stick out like a sore thumb.
