I saw the photo of samurai Yasu yesterday and really had to grin big time because I was speculating what he would do with his freshly dyed red hair (I quote myself: "I never saw a red haired samurai before"). Obviously he didn't care and I guess his bare chest distracts effectively from his hair color LOL. (I only noticed his hair so much because my hair color is very similar .)
I am very very VERY interested in photos of the Gothic Lolita Hyde and Kazzie Glitter . The costumes of Ju-ken, Ari and Jin must have been difficult to make! I am also very curious about them!

hope the weather hold up for you guys. we've been having thunderstorms of the severe type that have spawned at least 2 tornadoes in our area. unsettled weather for this month. knowing Hyde and KAZ, a bad weather won't hold them back unless it endangers the fans.

found a Kenshin pic for illustration of red-haired samurai. had forgotten i had these stashed away on an extra HD.



red even goes with pink or magenta (sometimes his kimono was hot pink). a fashion faux pas when i was growing up in the South. obviously not a problem in anime or for jrockers.

Indeed ! Wow!!! I haven't watched this anime (- yet! will search for it !). And his hair really goes along fine with the magenta kimono. I would never try to wear this color, though - but I generally don't like to wear pink-ish things (> childhood Barbiephobia ...).

you haven't ever watched this one?? it is tied in with L'Arc lore as the Second season used Fourth Ave. Cafe as opening theme and it was pulled and replaced by reusing TMRevolution's Heart Of Sword again when the sakura situation occurred. (too bad as i loved it. was possibly one of my first introductions to L'Arc when my son's anime-fiend high school friend got hold of some vhs "copies" that included this.) L'Arc later had other music used for OVA or a movie or both, i forget which.

it is an excellent historical era manga and anime. i like the Japanese voice actors personally, but it isn't a bad dub. it is a real classic mid 90s series. you should watch and read the manga too.

it translated well to anime, both as a weekly series and the less cartoonish OVA version of pre-tv series parts of the story. is an interesting tale set in the end of the Shogunate and beginning of the Meiji periods with enough history to make it believable. a long series too, but not as long as some current series like Bleach, i guess.

the Red Queen. White large forehead, red wig, gorgeous dress. He looked nice actually. Because he is tall and because I was far away, Ju-ken's Queen looked very dignified just like European queens I saw on my world history textbook.
