RE: Dir en grey
I want them to keep doing whatever they're comfortable doing.(which seems at the time to be pushing the bariers of their heavy sound) I don't think they want to try to remake the vibe of an earlier album but I want them to keep finding ways to mix in the old stuff during a live experience. Their new and old songs though sounding very different sound very good when played together.
^that said I do want to mention that I'm with you on loving kisou regaurdless.
Kisou is their best imo

RE: Dir en grey
Man... setlist looked somewhat disapointing compared to last year. I don't want to do too much spoiling but if you want to take a look, here ya go....

Sorry if I got your hopes up like all over the top. There is one old school song on the setlist.

RE: Dir en grey
No they didn't play Aint Afraid to Die but they did play Akura no Oka which is a really pretty song off of Gauze that I can see some one mistaking for Aint Afraid to Die. I don't want to seem unappreciative(which I'm sure I do.) I'm excited they're even coming another year in a row not to mention this year they have the Hageshi song which is epic. They will likely be playing a song off of Macabre which is also epic and I love all of the songs on their setlist. The thing is I would say that the show last year was spoiling in a way because I got to hear everything new and a few classics that are really close to my heart.
Bottom of the Death Valley is one of my favorite songs ever and they played it so perfectly. I got very emotional. Akura no Oka and Amber are also very sentimental to me. The two shows last year where the best concerts I've been to and this is probably not really going to compare having the setlist so much shorter to make room for other bands. I kind of like one band shows these days because you get so much more of the band you came for. Oh well...
It's still going to be an awsome show and I'm going to be rocking out like a maniac.

RE: Dir en grey
The show @ Club Nokia was an awesome performance even though it was short. Idk why but that was more my fav than last years. Rasetsukoku's now my fav live song; the only thing that stacked rubbish was the majority of people who just stood there, dead, and complained about our moshing to the point that security came n ruined the moment... Still was very enjoyable though, last song no one gave a hoot so Diru karma hit the dead fans. Hope they come bak soon by themselves so that dun happen again ^_^

I never understood why people get so upset over moshing at Dir en grey shows. I mean, half their stuff is practically death metal at this point. I've heard some people get real explicit about how much they HATE the people who mosh and crowd surf. To me it's all cool until what happens at Family Values, Mayhem and Ozzfest where all these Nazis show up and start a huge pit of just Nazis so they can beat people up who get caught in it.

RE: Dir en grey
Maybe you're joking. I believe, from seeing him on stage, that he opens up entirely, to his fans, and communes with them. I believe, in fact, that this means he loves their fans.
