RE: L'Arc~en~Ciel x PEPSI NEX CM
We'll it's for pepsi and after seeing so many pepsi commercials with singers (Shakira for example) their choose with songs are quite bad. But I kinda like it because it was modern and catchy, i never liked the original version.
"...because I'll always feel you in me"

i never listen to the original version, and i never really listen britney's cover during my teenage period , maybe i don't care abt this song at all..
but since i listened to the l'arc semi vamps cover.. i love it.. sound catchy and bitchy especially when hyde singin' this part
"Said can I take you home
where we can be alone "

RE: L'Arc~en~Ciel x PEPSI NEX CM
Having heard the full version I like it a little better now, but I still think that musically, it's a mess. Chorus harmonies are very discordant, and Tetsu (ya, I'm still not callin' him Tetsuya)...his bass playing...what's with that wrong note he keeps hitting?
I will listen again though, it's not like the single version of Floods of Tears, where I'm like "OK, I never need to hear that again". I actually did enjoy the verses and Hyde's delivery, as well as Ken's crazy-as-usual solo.

Actually, I will admit it's not the greatest cover in the world. The composition is very unogranized as though they were playing four different songs, but I think it's still very cute and thus worth the buy automatically, even if, maybe ESPECIALLY BECAUSE, the song doesn't entitle you to a free Pepsi. :X
Also, not that it excuses anything, but I don't think musicians actually play the whole song when recording anymore. They just take the best take they can and then do a copy and paste job, which is fine by me, but overall it probably explains why he always misses that one note.
Despite it's flaws though, I really do want to hear this song live! @_@

Maybe this is the way that Pepsi wanted it????
L'arc also gave us Bless this year and look at the difference. Wasn't it Hyde that said Yuki did 60 takes on that and finally chose number 42 to use for the final recording??

Yeah I've been guilty of that a few times myself. Sometimes I just wanna get an idea down on tape where it sounds good, without having to practice & perfect it. What can I say, I like writing more than practicing.

Lol....now what is wrong with Floods of Tears? It's that early L'arc sound. But ya know, different strokes for different folks.....
Goes to pat copy and say that Billkwando didn't really mean it. :)

I adore FoT, but the album version is far superior to the single version, plus it's all super Sakura-y & stuff.
