Hey my fellow VAMPSaddicts! How goes it? Ok, there's a reason why the title of this thread is written in all CAPS & not because I accidentally hit the CAPS Lock key, I swear. AnyVAMPS, I wanted to share with you guys some safetly tips, especially for those who will be traveling to see the show(s). Most of this stuff is common sense, but I hope you'll read on anyway:

1. Clothing: feel free to wear whatever you'd like to the VAMPS show(s), however, please be advised that nudity in public is illegal in most, if not all states. *lol* On a more serious note, though, please dress comfortably, as all the shows are in fact General Admission, which means that you'll probably be standing the whole time. As for shoes, please, please, please refrain from wearing flip-flops. Here in the sunshine state of California, people wear them all year round and yes- even when it rains. It's really not a good idea to wear them, especially when you'll be jam-packed in a room full of other people, which could lead to some possible feet crushing and someone possibly stepping on the back of your sandal. That would not be pretty.

2. Accessories: Ok, you know the deal. Although chains, spikes, etc..may be cool, they might be so when you accidentally scratch or poke someone at the show or if your chain gets caught on someone else. I'll let you use your judgment in that regards.

3. Overnight camp-outs: Ok, if some of you plan on comping out the night before the venue in order to score front row seats, please be advised that most venues (i.e. the Wiltern) will not allow that. You can show up several hours early, that's fine. Also, if you plan on showing up really, really early (i.e. before sunrise), please, please be careful. Unfortunately, the U.S. isn't the safest country in the world. Please do not show up at the venue before sunrise by yourself. Bring a friend with you (or several for that matter). I highly discourage showing up before sunrise because it really isn't safe. I wouldn't want your or your friend(s) to be in jeopardy. Make sure you have a cell phone handy at all times, or stay with someone who has a cell-phone.

4. Misc: Ok, for some general safety info: don't talk to stangers *lol* *j/k*. If you need to use the bathroom, please don't go by yourself. Believe it or not, crazy s**t like that still happens sometimes. Please obey ALL traffic laws, especially here in California or more specifically - Los Angeles. Cops can be a-holes here sometimes, but it's for your own good & for the good of others. So yeah...if you're from out of state or out of the country for that matter & plan on renting a car, please check out CA traffic laws before you come. Just a friendly reminder. To those of you traveling to S.F., parking can be pretty bad, so I'll post directions & helpful transportation methods for the S.F. & L.A. shows a little later.

AnyVAMPS, if I think of anymore safety tips, I'll post them later. The above were my main concern at the moment. REMEMBER, STAY SAFE!! I want everyone to have a good time & be safe as well.

Good things to know.

For anyone one going to NYC, from the past shows I've been to at Irving Plaza (including MUCC in December), I believe they don't really give a crap if you line up early. Not to say it's recommended, but yes, I will be there wayyyy early. Irving Plaza is right near Union Square, so we won't be in the middle of no where, but if you are going to line up the night before, like said, go with a friend.

It's always good to have multiple people with you and it seems we can organize a few people on this forum, but remember, there are tons of people going not on here too. I don't know what my point was. Just. Be safe at all places. Use common sense. And if you are really in trouble, especially in NYC, find the cops. They'll help you. Better to be safe then sorry.

And @ Clothing: SERIOUSLY. PLEASE WEAR CLOTHES. X_X I've seen too many girls who wear long shirts with NOTHING underneath and IT'S. NOT. COOL. Dx Wear shorts then, I don't care, but wear clothes! Wear white, keep cool, whatever. Just. Clothes. Wear them.

Oh. Another suggestion.
Bring sunscreen if you plan on waiting for a long time.
I regretted it the last time I waited for 9 hours for a concert in the sun - I was red for a week afterwards. x___x;;;

Bring water to drink in line. Most venues might not let you bring the water in (Irving Plaza doesn't >_>;;;) but keep hydrated in line. You don't want to be dehydrated before you even go in.

on shoes - hey if your short like me and plan on wearing shoes to make you taller so you can see in the crowd i highly highly HIGHLY! recommend trying the shoes on and staying on you feet for most of the day. cuz hello especially if your gonna show up early to the show you need shoes you can be all day in. cuz i've seen it happen at a concert i went to, the girl had high heels on (like 4 inchs high) and she fell to the floor and started shaking from the pain. she had to be carried out of the crowd.

hehe, I have shoes I wear to make me taller XD they're like platform black/white sneakers heh. I bought them like over 10 years ago; they're kinda uncool hahaha but I only care about seeing vamps XD

Nice one H.P. Great tips for others who are foreign. BTW, if you're going to LA, don't bring too much valuables.

Yeah, I'd say be careful with shoes. There's a lot of pushing in the crowd, and I don't think breaking your ankle would be fun.

And maybe don't bring any purses/bags unless they have lockers (or your car) where you can keep them. They'll get in the way during the concert, and with so many people around it may be easy for someone to slip their hand in and steal something.

So I think if you could just keep things in your pockets it might be for the best.

and uh..yeah...please wear clothes. I don't think it's very hygienic to hang around naked. I don't want your...germs.

Also, if you see anyone acting weirder than expected, then find someone to report them to. I don't want anyone getting harassed/kidnapped/robbed/whatever.

AND if you see someone else having a problem, help them out. It's probably going to be hot, so if you see someone who looks like they might pass out, try to get them some water, get them to a cool place, call an ambulance, whatever they need. If someone is getting harassed them help them/get someone to help them. So on, so forth.

Generally, just watch out for fellow fans so nothing bad happens.

VERY good suggestion. I know I need people watching out for me heh. I'm from a cold state and I know when it's hot of course but I'm not good at knowing when I've reached my limit. When I'm hyper I forget to eat/drink sometimes.

When I was in LA for JRR I needed people around me to say "Hey, you need some water" and they walked with me across the street to get out of the sun and get some water cause I was looking really red and exhausted from the sun beating down on me. I was really thankful they were looking out for me. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy. Jrock fans are so nice compared to most other fans XD

As far as the water thing go, bring atleast 3... depending on how long you plan to camp outside. I'm not sure if Wiltern will permit you to take in water. House of Blues didn't allow that.

And as for cameras, chances are, you wont be allowed in if you have a camera on you. Incase that happens, they might have a storage box for you but for a small fee.

And like everyone said, put valuables in your pockets. PUT THEM IN YOUR FRONT POCKETS! Back pockets are really unsafe. With so much pushing and shoving, you might either lose or have your valuble stolen.

If you're going to try to sneak in a camera at any show, please don't bring your uber-expensive digital camera. Just bring a disposable camera. Old school, but it's better having that $15 dollar camera taken away or stolen, rather than your real camera. Also, it'll probably be easier to sneak in. In addition, I think, but don't quote me on this, that you may be able to take pictures, but don't have the flash on. The Wiltern isn't a very big venue, so if everyone had the flash going off, you can imagine how distracting and uncomfortable it might be for VAMPS, not to mention, pose a threat to their safety & we can't have that, now can we?

Hmm...let's see...yeah, just be aware of your surroundings at ALL times, especially if you're going to a show in a major city (i.e. L.A., S.F., N.Y., etc...). If you see someone getting harassed, please don't put yourself in danger by trying to be a hero & getting involved yourself. Rather, contact security IMMEDIATELY & let them handle it.

Always remember to think of your fellow VAMPSaddicts when you see someone hurt or possibly suffering from heat exhaustion. We all want to have a good time, but not at the expense of our health. In addition, and this isn't directed at anyone in particular, but as a general statement: as fans of VAMPS, we need to respect them & each other. We need to have class. This is to say that we shouldn't show up to a VAMPS concert & start acting like an @ss or trying to push and shove people in order to get in front row.

We're better than that. We need to show VAMPS that we all know how to act, that way, they will WANT to come back to the U.S. again. Remember, our negative actions can ruin it for other VAMPS fans. This goes especially for the first show (New York) and the last show (Los Angeles). We want to leave a good impression at the first show in order to set the tone for the rest of the tour and leave them with a good lasting impression at the end of the last show that will keep VAMPS wanting to return to the U.S..
