Anyway, as much as I hate to say it, I can see why they focus mainly on girls. That is, the fact that it's their primary fanbase. On the FAITH tour documentary, they only focused on girls too, and even on the IMF interview with HYDE.

And VAMPS isn't the only one that does it, either, and it's very fucking frustrating. To put things into perspective, I take a lot of pride in my appearance. I spend at least 30 minutes of every hour of the day doing my hair, applying and reapplying makeup, using acne treatments that don't work, shaving, etc. etc. etc., but when I go to get my hair done, I have to suffer from getting less-than service because they consider a woman's hair a lot more important than a man's hair, which makes sense because usually women care a lot more about their hair.... BUT THAT'S NO FUCKING EXCUSE TO NOT GIVE YOUR MALE CUSTOMERS EQUAL TREATMENT. I even have to pay them LESS money to pay to get my hair done (which would be a nice treat if it weren't for the discrimination) simply to justify the cost of getting less service. WHAT? I'M NOT ALLOWED TO RECEIVE EXCELLENT SERVICE? THOSE HOURS I SPEND PREPARING AREN'T WORTH ANYTHING? HUH? HUH? WHAT? I'M NOT ALLOWED TO BE GIVEN PROPER CARE ALL BECAUSE I SUBSCRIBE TO A DIFFERENT SET OF ARTICLES BELOW THE WAIST?!! WELL, FUCK YOU, HAIR STYLISTS FUCK YOU!!! *expodes from anger*

You may be in there and just haven't noticed yourself. Most of the fan shots go by very fast.

Plus, as you said...I think you and not VAMPkito, the odds are not in your favor. The fans are mostly female so you male types get kinda lost in the mix. Just keep the numbers growing and that will help. Remember that VAMPS did the all male show in Japan and the audience wasn't sparse.

L'arc is starting to show more and more male shots as the years progress and SID's newest DVD (amazing imho btw) has shots of male fans.

About the girls appearing more in pics and screen than boys, it might be also because VAMPS are males? I remember on a Robbie Williams DVD seeing a group of girls that flashed her boobs and he pointed at them and asked on the mic wether they were being recorded, now let’s imagine that a man had done something similar and the singer had asked the same thing on the mic, because it was something crazy, well Robbie Williams might have suffered gossip about being gay and stuff. Sounds stupid, but press is like that... people is like that! When I hung a poster of Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft and one of Natalie Portman as sexy Padmé Amidala in white top and pants, mom harassed me for months until I gave them as a gift to a male friend because she was afraid I might be “going les”. ABSURD but possible. Might be part of a reason?
Also I agree that there were more girls than boys at those lives. ie at Nightwish concerts the audience is mainly masculine, so men appear more than women. Those are my speculations, the truth is... I have no idea :-p

Also... I am sorry about the treatment you get, VAMPkito ._. Here in Mexico a high percentage of hairstylists is conformed by gay, bisexual, or very androginous metrosexual men. And sometimes it is the other way around X-D I’d go with my ex-boyfriend to the beauty parlor and I’d get efficient quick haircuts, then he’d be treated like a king, talked to, and offered samples of free treatments and stuff. I guess it depends on where you go? You could try looking online for a metrosexual place.

LOL, I found a great place close to my mom's workplace! I arrived with several pictures of hyde in Moon Child and a lot of curly ORANGE hair (I had tried to bleach it on an expensive salon and it was awful, my hair got Ronald McDonalds red, then orange) So I took the picture and that guy named Raúl -aided by a lot of peroxide and blue tint- left it the exact shade of blond and gave me a very similar haircut :-D

Oh no need to feel sorry for me! As I said, they're just doing their job, it's not like they're spitting in my face and or sending me hate messages. The problem is that I live in the southern United States, which is possibly the most incompetent, narrow-minded, and... well, I could go on for hours. In short, it's not a very nice place for J-Rock fans, non-heterosexuals, and men that act they way women WANT them to.

Oh very lucky. Most of the time, they just give me a shorter version of what I originally had no matter what I ask for (though if I tell them to keep the length approximately the same, they will). And funny thing, I'm usually not getting a visual-kei look or anything. I'm usually getting a perfectly normal (or what I find to be normal I guess) hairstyle.

To think this all started with a simple comment about how VAMPS' cameraman focuses almost exclusively on girls.

woa... I just did some "hunting" and found myself like 6 times. You really pop out when you know where to look. Fortunately I wore my Loudness shit because the stipes really pop out! At the very end of Sex Blood Rock and Roll (I mean the last vocal) the camera zooms in on me for like 0.5 seconds. I had fun finding a bunch of familiar faces. It's really cool to keep seeing that red hat on the stage and on Ju-kens dome peice knowing that earlier in the day I passed out and people took a bunch of pictures of me passed out wearing it. AHHH!!! I'm so happy!!!
