I think they must have all been using the same picks. o__O
My mom caught Ju-ken's and I caught HYDE's,
and they both look the same as the one you got there.

Oh really? LOL Wow, guess they grabbed picks out of the same pile? I remember back at the FAITH tour, the picks were different. I remember a girl showing me the pick she caught that HYDE had throw, and it had like a skull on it. I think rose too, but I vaguely remember.
I thought they'd be using different picks, but guess not. But as long as you knew who threw what, you can know who was using which. Unless you mix them up. *haha* Then that'd be a problem.
Billkwando-Thanks for the link, I'm gonna check those out now. Or after the Venture Bros. My show is on!

RE: Baltimore Show Impressions
I got up only a few hours ago from a 12 hour nap. Woot! What a concert it was! My only complaint was the fact that the sound crew must have seriously screwed up HYDE's mic before the start of the encore performance. He sounded like a chipmunk from my angle. Maybe that's because I moved to the back after the main show finished, so the mic sounded different there compared to where I was originallly, about ten feet from the stage. Aside from that, the concert was pretty much perfect, IMO. Everything I hoped for in the concert and a few things I didn't expect, like Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.
Anyone else left in tears by that performance of SWEET DREAMS? Seriously, I was weeping T_____T- My new favorite song <3

That's only half of Kazu's guitar collection actually. He has 3 Zodiac Works guitars, 2 or 3 PRS guitars, I think there is a Gretsch guitar too and there is another guitar or two he has that I cannot for the life of me remember what the name are. I'm sure I'm missing some as well. Needless to say he has a million and one guitars

That is Kazu's guitar pick. It says "Screamin' Silence" on it then "KAZ" The dragon spells out "KAZ" in a very unique way. But that is 100% Kaz's guitar pick. I'd recognize it anywhere. I love his pick designs.

RE: Baltimore Show Impressions
I helped out with the autograph signing and got sunburned because of it but it was worth it ^^ I got to enter at the end and I could speak to the guys more cause there was no one waiting ^_^.
I got a nasty bruise one I didn't get in ny x.x and I saw more ppl getting lifted out of the crowd so I don't know if it was better or worse x_x. I got a Ju-ken pick again but it was white and not yellow so they look different ^^!! Also. Hyde spit water straight on my face cause I was in the middle in front of him x_x it was refreshing though x.x
I'm at baltimore for Otakon until monday I hope I get some sleep before the Sf Concert ^^"

RE: Baltimore Show Impressions
Hey guys! I just woke up and I wanted to get my memories of the show down so I don't forget them.. So here's a long rambling of what I remember from the Sonar show:
My husband and I got there at about 6am. Everyone was lined up on the side of the building at first, but then we all moved to the front. Everything was great until the sun came up over the buildings So hot!!
I met a lot of great people in line, including a few from the forums. When the autograph session started, they took people in groups of 5 or so at a time (I was the 27th person in line). They were selling merchandise at the door in case anyone needed something official to sign. They said that only official VAMPS merchandise could be signed, but I know someone got their HYDE greatest hits cd signed. I had my poster that came with the VAMPS album, and my husband brought the album itself.
When I walked up to them, they were sitting behind a table and it was very dark! I was completely flustered, so I didn't get to say much, but I said "Hi" and they both said "Hi" back. I put the poster down and Kaz grabbed it and started signing it. While he did that, I glanced up at Hyde and noticed that he was staring at me... I held out my hand and he shook it - I had a huge smile on my face, and he was smiling back. Then Kaz slid the poster over to Hyde and I took that time to shake Kaz's hand and say "Thank you so much", which he repeated back. When Hyde finished, I said "Thank you so much for coming" and he said, very quietly, "Thank you so much". Then I wandered off with really weak knees... The signatures got a little blurred because the poster rolled back up while the ink was still wet, but it's not too bad.
The staff did a great job keeping the line in check, so I got right back to my place in line. I walked with a few others to the BCC to get the Otakon badges, which was a huge pain in the neck (it was all so unorganized). Then we got back to Sonar and waited for the show. My husband walked off looking for a bathroom at one point, and said that he could hear them inside practicing "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds".
They started letting people in at about...7:45? By this time I was really really hot and tired...I didn't know if I'd have any energy for the show at all. We got in there, and I got a spot right in front of Ju-ken's mic (which I made a point to do because he was extremely fun to watch at the Columbia show).
It took the band FOREVER to come out on stage. At one point, I noticed that the band came out and were looking and pointing at the banner that everyone had signed earlier (it was hanging on a wall to the right of the stage). I think they even took pictures standing in front of it. At about a quarter after 9 or so, the band came on.
Unfortunately, by that time, I was so hot and sweaty that I was feeling really sick. There was a girl to my left who started moshing, which was really annoying (she kept rubbing up against my side and swinging her head so that her long hair hit everyone in the face). I saw a few people being deliberately mean and elbowing people, but it wasn't like what I heard about the NY show.
I stayed near the front as long as I could (probably about 6-7 songs or so), but then had to move to the side, which still had a great view, thankfully, and wasn't crowded at all. I was able to get some water from the staff, which helped a lot. I wish I could have spent more time enjoying the show rather than feeling hot and sick, but I suppose it was better than passing out (which I saw a few people do).
On the first MC, Hyde mentioned that this was the last show on the east coast, but he told us not to worry because they'll take care of us. Later on in the show, Hyde walked up to the mic and said:
"Did you eat crabs?"
...
"Did you eat?"
...
"Me, too"
The crowd went nuts. Btw, his English was very good at this show.
Anyway, one of my favorite performances of the night was "Hunting" (they turned on the lights over the crowd and the band ran up to the edge of the stage with their hands over their eyes as if they were searching for someone). It was great. I also loved the way they played "Lucy" - they sped up the chorus quite a lot!
Hyde took his shirt off for the encore, which I figured he'd do since it was so bloody hot in that place. I got an excellent view of all of his tattoos and piercings, although I don't think he was wearing a navel ring? His pants kept sliding down a bit (I was talking to a girl after the show who said that she was happy to note that Hyde wears Vivienne Westwood underwear ).
So, all in all - despite the long wait and the heat and sweat, the show was AWESOME.

RE: Baltimore Show Impressions
There are some wicked awesome stories on here (I'm new!!)
Anyway, my little tale starts off in connecticut. I went to the warped tour in ct (7/12) to see vamps since they weren't coming up to Boston, which is where I live. They only played like 3 songs and took photos with 4 people. They had such a good performance, so I was disappointed that it was so short and instantly decided to go down to md
Waking up at 3:30/4:00 am, we left for baltimore. We were making good time until we made it to freaking jersey and ended up getting lost. Baltimore was also a lot hotter than I expected. I thought that it was hot at warped tour earlier that week when it was 75!! We finally arrived at the sonar to see a pretty long line. My number was 224, so when I found out that they were only going to do the first 200, I was very upset (freakin' jersey!!). After that, I left and had too book a hotel room. After I got there, I literally had enough time to put my stuff down before I had to leave again.
Back at the sonar, the sun wasn't as brutal anymore. My burns had taken enough as it was. It didn't take that long to get into the building. I was very happy to notice the fans on at full blast. There weren't that many people when I got in. I was probably about 6 feet from the stage. My knees were hurting from standing so long, but I was kept entertained by the light crew messing with the croud. Once everyone was in, it started to get really hot and I could no longer feel that nice breeze. I could sort of see the hyde's mic (I was closer to kaz), but this tall guy that clearly was out of place kept trying to block his girlfriend, but instead kept blocking my view. We wasn't even watching the concert!! He kept looking around making sure that no one was gonna do anything to her. They finally left before the last 4 songs. There wasn't too much pushing except for these 2 people in the middle (sorry, couldn't tell whether male or female). They kept trying to mosh, but were quickly stopped. There were also some very large girls around me that felt the need to rub up against an already sweaty me. The water that kaz and the guards threw was very refreshing. I also got beer spilled all down my leg :(
Despite the heat, the concert was amazing. Hyde sounded so good! And Ju-ken did an amazing job of getting the croud to scream louder. Kaz was cool as usual It was kind of funny during the slower songs since everyone was packed so tightly we were all swaying with eachother. A LOT of girls had to get pulled out. I don't know what exactly the sound crew did at the end, but everything sounded high pitched for the encore (loved lucy!!). It was still amazing though
I'm kind of upset that I drove almost 800 miles (lolz our car broke too) to see them and I didn't get a clear view nor autograph, but they still put on a great performance. I'm trying to see if there's anyway that I can get to the west coast :P
Oh yeah! Someone earlier said that kaz's guitar pick hit someone and then fell. That might have been me! At that time, I felt something hit me, but couldn't reach down and grab it since it was too crouded :(
