It's very beautiful and reminds me a lot of the ROENTGEN English ensembles. Though I think I prefer the non-acoustic version.

i know what you mean. i was expecting acoustic guitars, bass...not pianos and the same type of violin treatment in the original. i like it, but like the album version better. it may come down to the pv being the main objective here for me. ^ ^
Yeah. I just listened to it. To be honest, I didn't like it very much. When I hear "unplugged" or "acoustic" I expect a different performance dynamic, and a different actual performance.
This was a remix, being that it was the exact same vocal track(s) with different instrumentation pasted on. It was pretty and all, and might be nice if you'd never heard the original, but to me it just sounded weird and wrong. That's how remixes go sometimes.
If you enjoy acoustic music, check out Hirakawachi 1-chome / 平川地一丁目

Lawl, I'm aware of theoretical stories behind the song itself. What I meant was, I hope that the story is present in the PV as well and not just clips from the tour. Like EVANESCENT, I mean. Remember how the PV told the story of the song, you know... like a PV is supposed to? I mean, I like the PV thus far, but if it's only clips from the US tour, they might as well have just as easily just put it in the tour documentary that will undoubtedly be on the DVD.

Thank you; somebody put my feelings into words. I didn't mention a lot of that in my other post because I couldn't think of the words XD - But yeah, just look at the Evergreen, Shallow Sleep, and Angel's Tale English ensembles. THAT is what I expected from this acoustic version.
To be fair though, the music as a whole was a whole was amazing, but it's just so awkward because the obviously recycled vocal track didn't even fit the music. The vocals are strong and powerful while the music is soft and sweet.
I understand that they're on tour right now and don't have time to record, but... well, that's my point. They shouldn't release something while they're still on tour =/

OMG are you fucking serious? X_X - I haven't even gotten a chance to so much as SAVE UP for it yet =x
EDIT - I just checked out CDJapan and I didn't see where it said that.

While that may true, that certainly doesn't mean that his lyrics aren't completely free from personal influence. Most of his lyrics you really MUST wonder where he gets the inspiration from, because it doesn't seem like something you'd just randomly decide, "HEY, I'D LIKE TO MAKE A SONG ABOUT THIS!" JESUS CHRIST, EVERGREEN, and SEASON'S CALL being the most mysterious in that aspect, in my opinion.

-----------------
i think my point was he may very well have personal inspiration for most or all of his material, solo-wise, and a good bit of L'Arc's kyrics as well. he has mentioned, in relation to L'Arc in some articles Nanani translated i believe, that when he is writing lyrics for other members' music he might listen to their thoughts about the music and it might influence his choices. but he might just go where the music itself led him.
there are some songs, such as things he wrote for FullMetal Alchemist as an example, where he has said he listened to what the writers told him about the storyline and went from there. that's probably why Link and Lost Heaven fit the movie so well.
actually, i think we may be saying the same thing in different terms. as to the PV carrying the story, i'd love to see one that told his version of the story...or one of his versions. not just random clips. i agree that those would make a wonderful documentary disc for the dvd. (why don't thery listen to our good ideas more often??
Billkwando, i get what you are saying completely. that's what i immediately thought too. i think even the string track is recycled, not just vocals. lift the guitars, bass and drums (which i enjoyed in the original) leave the strings and vocals and throw in some piano. where is the VAMPS in that?
much like Yukihiro's Ectomorphed versions of Laruku songs, lots of Yukki, with new rhythms and beats. a few tweaks maybe on some tracks by the others, but mostly a Yukki creation. this could have been done by Jin, as an example, in between US and Japan 2nd leg.
sorry i don't have those articles i referred to in front of me to quote. if you guys haven't ever visited Nanani's translation site, here's the address. there is much L'Arc goodness and some straight up tetsu fun to be found.

HMV still has it and it's just as easy to get from them once you register with them. they sometimes have really good deals too. I'm looking at the entry right now, here's the link: http://www.hmv.co.jp/en/search/index.asp...VAMPS&site=
however make note of this:
"This is an extremely popular item and therfore (sp) is available for up to 3 copies per customer,
You are not allowed to place multiple numbers or order several times. " their spelling booboo. ^ ^
price-
* Regular price (tax inc.) : ¥1,000
* Availability : Out Soon - current release date is 30 Sep 2009
* Point : 1points / 100yen
they ship overseas as EMS. good and bad to that. i favor this, even though i'm poorer than a church mouse.
Interestingly, YesAsia does not even have it listed...period. don't know who else MIGHT be carrying it. sorry.
one thing i have learned about new releases, it pays to pre-order early if you can as there is no telling what release is going to sell-out. and yet, a month from now you MAY be able to find copies for sale at the same places that sold-out prior to the release date. it's a gamble. if you want it badly, go for it early, if you'd like to have it but won't die without it, wait and see if it's available later. sounds callous or cut and dry, but that's just how it works.
