RE: After the tour...
As much as I love my Japanese music, I don't think that there are less crappy Japanese groups than any other country, just more good groups so it is easier to get the good from the crap. As a big metal head there are a ton of awesome American metal bands but because I prefer European style metal there aren't so many that I enjoy. Japan provides me with pop singers who to me have better voices than American pop singers. The music is just as generic in some cases (Stephanie/Kyosuke Himuro) but generally easier to listen to because of the fantastic singers. On the other hand there are groups like Hyde's stuff with VAMPS, L'arc etc, Angela Aki, Kokia, Aoi Teshima, Bump of Chicken, Kalafina (and anything done by Yuki Kajiura) that are a bit more original and shine through awesome song writing and vocals. In the end it just takes someone who appreciates good music to enjoy the great Japanese groups out there. I think VAMPS and Abingdon Boys School would be uber popular if they were to attempt to take on a slice of the American market one way or the other.

I have to say- Best Buy is looking good for me- I found D'espairsRay's Mirror and Redeemer albums in there... No more Dir en Grey CDs though, like the 3 I had gotten there earlier (despite not being a big Diru fan)
If you're in any Best Buy that I'm strolling thru the music section- you will hear me loudly complain that there's no L'arc~en~Ciel, no GazettE, no Miyavi, etc. lol especially cos my mom tells me to go look for them XDD we spent 30 minutes looking up and down the aisles and I'd call to her going "Nope! No (band)!" lol

I completely agree with that ^^v I'd go across the US to see VAMPS, maybe not for ABS, but I'd completely love to see the GazettE come to the US or ScReW... or Nightmare lol... I think the GazettE would do the best though >>;;;

Lol...I do the same thing at Best Buy. Do you see any L'arc~en~Ciel? What??? Not even Awake or Kiss? What is wrong with these people? How about Hyde? VAMPS? Miyavi? SID? Loud sigh ensues....
I'd go anywhere (except Hawaii..can't afford it) in the US to see SID.

roflmao ^^v I'm glad I'm not the only person that does that XDDDD I actually asked the floor workers "Do you have any L'arc~en~Ciel?" and they had to go online to look XDDDD said "none in-store but we can order their Heart album as an import for you" -___-;;;;
oooh yeah XDDD idk if I'd go to West Coast- I've been listening to their music more but honestly... o.o tho I find Aki hot, their vocalist creeps me out for some weird reason... and Kyo doesn't .___.;;; I'm such a weird child lol but I'd go if they were decently close << >>

RE: After the tour...
I gave up expecting brick and mortar stores stocking music I like. Even certain american metal bands and US releases of European metal bands are rarely in stock. I just buy all my music online at either Amazon or Yesasia. Its nice to see Versailles music on sale through maru-music.com though even though the CD is never available anywhere (even in hot-topic). Those stores only bother stocking crap they know will sell tons.

God, I looked all over Barne's & Noble's for L'Arc, because the music preview database said they had the AWAKE album. When I couldn't find it in "International: Japan" - I looked all over the store. No L'Arc :< - And just my luck, they didn't even have the US version of FAITH, which wasn't too bad of a bother since I already had the Japanese version, but still. It would be nice to see something GOOD for sale over here >>

RE: After the tour...
I had to have the guys at Barnes and Noble order me the US version of faith when it came out because I went in stores on "release day" and they didn't have it in stock. Apparently if I had gone to them BEFORE release day and told them I was interested in it they could have ordered it but I didn't consider that. I rarely go to Barnes and Noble for CDs though because they overprice everything and most albums are $18.

There isn't a place like Barnes and Noble here in Mexico (I'm thinking about a BIG store at Pennsylvania that's got books and coffe shop and puffs and couches and is like the Bookworm's Heaven) So when I went there for the first and only time, I spent all my day there looking for L'arc stuff... and found nothing T_T
I loved B&N anyway!!! :-D I could go there on vacation hahaha.
VAMPS YEAR!
