I disagree, largely because HYDE has, in any of his projects, has never stuck to one genre. Notice how diverse in sound the VAMPS album was.

Not always true. I'm not saying they won't, but it's not always true. Notice that very few of the concerts last year played DEEP RED. They might (MIGHT) have songs like DEEP RED on their new album that won't be played at all and thus put an old song in its spot. VAMPS takes good consideration into the setlist and will only play what they feel will be good for the live, which may or may not include the entire new album. Again, I'm not arguing against you at all, I'm just saying that it's not always the case.

Oh you and me both X3

It means "Distorted Version" (if you're unfamiliar with the term, it refers to the distortion of an electric guitar that is traditionally used [and by traditionally I mean almost always] in rock, so it means redone with a distorted guitar as opposed to the song itself being distorted). And you don't sound like a n00b at all for asking. It's not like it's something you hear everyday, plus there's probably plenty of Japanese fans who are wondering the same thing, lol. (Or maybe not, I'm just making that last bit up)

i'm late as i've not been around much for a longish bit.
oasis dist on 666 tour is one of my favorite distorted versions. i have loved it since i 1st came across it in a clip couple years back. but, that was one of my fav ROENTGEN songs anyway. i prefer the Japanese/english mix that was the original flavor of the lyrics. i would LOVE to hear it live or have it appear on an album.
that said, i don't really anticipate it because it has been so long and Hyde rarely does those songs, except the ones he used on the B-sides or C/W of singles. and you can taste a bit of Kazu's hand in those remixes usually. he and KAZ could easily arrange a suitable remix, i just don't expect it. that way if they do i will be overjoyed and if they don't i won't be disappointed.
as to what they will or won't play or what they did or did not...i don't believe i saw DEEP RED on any US setlist, but they did play it extensively in Japan's arena tour and i believe the Zepp tour as well. that was a pisser as i wanted to hear it badly. *shrugs*
like most bands, i imagine they will highlight new tracks, add a chunk of 1st album songs and round out with a few HYDE solo fan favs. but new stuff will have top spot or the list will be heavily weighted with those. a tour is for album promotion in large part. that may vary depending on where they appear.
US and Japan will be that way i think. but, europe, south america, asia...they might take a lesson from L'Arc's Paris and Asia shows for L'7 and all other previous overseas show, and stick with a heavy load of familiar hits and new stuff mixed in. think laruku's AWAKE tour in 2005 followed the next month by ASIALIVE. totally different, even though they were still promoting the AWAKE album.
