I mean, I hadn't found yet any christian song [I LOVE CHRISTIAN ROCK MUSIC] that I can compare with the strength of HYDE's Jesus Christ's lyrics.
You probably know this, but I thought I'd point out that JESUS CHRIST, or the entire FAITH album in general, isn't Christian rock, so it's a tad unfair to compare it to that. But yeah, I see what you mean. JESUS CHRIST is the song that got me into HYDE and still remains one of my favorite songs of all time. I still have a tendency to shed tears every time I listen to it, even more so live. I certainly wish they played the song at Baltimore, but well... SWEET DREAMS compensates for that, in my opinion :3

THANK YOU. That is one of the MANY reasons I love HYDE. I can't stand how most artists just jabber on and on about omg I love this girl or omg I'm soooooooooooo depressed that this girl broke up with me. Don't get me wrong, those are nice on occasion as long as they are done well, but most of them are just dry, worn out material and it's annoying because they ALWAYS discuss it in their songs. So HYDE is amazing in that he's able to sing about something OTHER than some cliché "love song." What a lot of artists seem to have a hard time understanding is that there all different kinds of emotions in the human heart, not just love and, to me, it's fun to explore all those different emotions rather than hearing about just one all the time.
Granted, the love songs he does write about are simply beautiful and capture the emotion of love accurately both musically and lyrically as opposed to a lot of other musicians where their concept of "love" serves no purpose aside from appealing to easily-moved teenage girls.
Quote:Like Mamikochan said, we will never know what they base their songs on and mostly interviews are not what they really think and want to say, just what they can say. And like I said I find L'arc lyrics more deep than Vamps (not their sound or anything like that, just the lyrics) and that's just my opinion. I never meant to imply that Vamps has no lyrics at all or that Hyde worked less because of that or anything like that. I know he works hard cause I was able to speak to him for a while a couple of times (off autograph signing). And I appreciate the fact that he did 10 lives in a month after all those lives in Japan. Seriously They must rest ASAP T_T.
Oh, no. I wasn't suggesting you meant that. I was just inputting my own opinion. You're entitled to your own opinion
as long as I approve and I have no intentions on trying to change them. Sorry if what I was saying came across wrong. D=
