Tell us, did you exchage some words with them? what did they say?
-----
Warning: Book ahead!:
The way they had them sitting, they were sitting next to each other at a table that was kind of wedged behind the doorway of some double doors. You couldn't really see them, ahead of time, until you were like 2nd in line.
When I went up, I handed the cd cover to a staff member, he handed it to KAZ. I said "Hi KAZ!" He said "hi", and I said "Thanks for coming!", we shooked hands, and he smiled at me. He may have nodded as well. :) He had a nice firm grip, as a friend pointed out as well.
He slid the CD cover over to Hyde and Hyde looked down to sign it. The perfect moment had come!
"Hyde!" I said, as I stepped over in front of him. I didn't yell it or anything. I just kinda said it in the same way you'd greet an old friend you hadn't seen in a long time, like "Hiiiiiiiiiiii!" while smiling.
He immediately looked up at me. He was wearing a long sleeve white cotton shirt with only maybe 2 or 3 buttons (open, of course) @ the neck..... and no eyeliner or anything. No shades either! He looked like "Hyde, casual", not "Hyde, rock star".
The thing I noticed when he looked up at me was that he looked open, interested, and happy. He didn't look bored, or tired, or apprehensive, and he certainly didn't look like "aloof, cool-guy Hyde" like he does in so many interviews (especially w/ L'Arc). I'm sure the lack of shades helped (lolz) but it was more than that.
Anyways, I said "Hyde!" and he looked up at me...and I had to gush a little. "You're so awesome!", I said.....and he smiled at me. I then said "Thanks so much for coming to America!". He shook my hand and I nodded my head forward once, as I always do when I shake hands.....and of course, he did the same thing at the same time....cos that's what Japanese people do when they shake hands! The mini-bow! LOL! Now I remember where I picked up that habit from!
His grip was more gentle than KAZ, but still not girly or limp. He gave me my CD cover back, and I turned around........and almost fell down the step because I was still dazed! Luckily they had a Sonar staff member there by then to remind you to watch your step...because I'm sure plenty of dazed people had already almost fallen over!
It was awesome.
It was quick, but I kept it simple and short, so I was done by the time they were finished signing, pretty much.
Thanks guys so much for sharing your experiences,
Billkwando:really I was reading and i got happy, and the way you wrote it *o* made me feel that if I were there at that moment.
and the way you described hyde´s ... OMG, I melted XDD
I´ll try that mini-bow thing!
So awesome! T______T
I somehow forgot to mention that Hyde did say "Hi" and "thanks".

i'm glad you wrote this out. it was exactly the same for me and my daughter. the one thing i can add is they were taking people 10 at a time into the Sonar, as my daughter was in the group behind me at 1st. i had planned to buy her a copy of the album, but had an issue of Monthly VAMPS in my hand and Ai made me go on thru to save time, everything was always 30min-1hour behind schedule due to the tight control security had moving people in, i guess. could see no other reason. the big security guy at the door did take my $4 and got me 2 fans during a break towards the end of the line. he saw i needed them for the heat. had planned to stay down in line, but got too overheated and decided to take my chances for the show line. turned out to be ok.
was that Manager FA who took the goods to be signed and handed the item to KAZ? he's always with Hyde, he's the one Hyde is talking with in the Paris L'Arc doc by the river. he was nice too. and KAZ and Hyde were just as Billkwando and others have described. good description of the handshakes, btw. i'm really sensitive with bad arthritis in my hands and could tell-firm and yet gentle. also, it was rather dark inside after the bright sun, so it was harder to see minute details, like new earrings. i did try to look. ^^ my only regret was missing out on signing the ECfanbook despite tracking it down to a slow-moving section of the line 4 times between 11am and 1:30pm. but, did catch the banner and staff thank you. i guess i should have just sent Missy what i wanted to put in there. overall, great experience. some hiccups and small disappointments, but better to pass those by and remember the many good parts. just wish i wasn't sooo shy. saw many of you, but was too backwards to speak up after a couple of not pleasant moments. but thanks to all who worked so hard.
