I have also wondered that myself I mean they do have promoters here but they can't start promoting a month before the concerts and expect tickets to sell out I mean you saw how long it took for some people to get their fliers. People need time to save up money if they are going to go to a concert especially right now when everyone is nearly broke. If i hadn't already had some money saved up there no way I would have been able to attend the shows at least without selling an organ or something. 2-3 months notice isn't much time to get money together to travel especially for people with families to take care of. A tour this big should have been announced sooner it would have given them more time for promotion and fans more time to save up money to attend the shows.

I'm really sorry to hear about your cat Tracy. I really don't know what to say in a situation like this except, "I'm sorry." However, please do know that I really do mean it. I can't imagine what it's like to lose a pet (I've honestly never really had one before). But, I should imagine it's like loosing a friend, so for what it's worth, I am truly very sorry.
I also agree with your statement about there not having been enough time in terms of preparing to buy the tickets. *sigh* I think, though, we'll just have to work harder, then. However, I understand your circumstances right now, so no worries. We'll still be here when you're ready to return. :)

If the person in charge of the profile is the person you are talking about then why doesn't this person get an assistant? I'm just curious as to why they are not promoting this more.
I go to a lot of concerts here in NYC with bands that come from Europe and whenever they don't promote, they get a half full venue which is sad and bad for them. Last time I saw that was at the Sabath concert and I felt bad for them and angry with the so called fans for not showing up, but the band apparently had not promoted much. And this was a reunion of a band that's been around for ages.
I think VAMPS is lucky to have such loving fans, very lucky because otherwise they wouldn't sell any tickets at all with the kind of promotion they've been doing.
Sorry everyone, didn't mean to ramble. I'll stop now. If I offended anyone I apologize.
Spamming MySpace bulletin isn't also that effective.
1. All the bulletin will be received by Friends of VAMPS which probably, 75% of them are already going. No point.
2. Only J is running this MySpace page of VAMPS, atleast.. that's what it seems. Like you said, hire an assistant, but you have to understand, assistants aren't always helpful and especially this late in the game, it would be hard to fill that person in on everything about promotions. And besides, problems could involve things like money which they are probably on a tight budget.
It's really hard to promote a foreign band especially one that is as new as VAMPS. I applaud to those that are constantly calling those Radio Stations. I guess I will help put in a few calls this week.
----------------------
I agree with you that promoting a foreign band is indeed difficult, but it's not impossible (I'm not saying that you think it is either). However, because we are running out of time, we need to utilize ALL resources at this point. While MySpace may not be 100% effective at the way we have it right now, if VAMPROSE is willing to pay for better advertising (i.e. like the movie advertisements that always dominate the home page), then it could very well work. I mean, even if the advertisements stay as they are now, there is still a chance that people who don't know about the tour will see it. Even if it's a small percentage of people, at this point, we need as many people as we can get to buy tickets for the tour.
Oh, and thanks in advance for making phone calls. ;)
