And like I wrote on Facebook [aside all the links of the American Red CRoss to make donations..like I'll do now--> American Red Cross Disaster Relief for Japan
And believe that without artists like HYDE and the guys from L'Arc en Ciel...I wouldn't appreciate things in life like I do now. A lot of people around me keeps asking of why I feel so affected by this and mostly about the safety for those who sing another language. I just respond that they have done more to me than any other role model...they music moved me to no end.
But instead of keep watching videos and photos of the disaster [I don't want to be a masochistic] I decided to donate to the Red Cross and ask if the local version in my country will collect things to send to Japan.
And if anyone is going to donate stuff instead of money, I suggest a lot of blankets, jackets and stuff like that....temperatures dropped in the affected areas due the lack of electricity.
Hoshizora has been the song that keeps running through my head since this happened, too.
I wonder what influence this will have on L'arc's new music? If any.....
Hyde was already in the recording studio or composing when the quake hit...if I remember correctly.
Many artists are saying that they will donate the profits from their upcoming lives to help with the relief efforts. This is great, but it is also Japan helping Japan.
Many of us are already giving to the Red Cross with the money ear-marked for Japan. The thought crossed my mind that it would be nice to see a CD with a compilaton from all of the big artists. No matter who you liked, you would buy the CD to hear them and it would reach out to a broader audience. It would be released world-wide and all of the profits go to Japanese relief efforts. The world helping Japan. This would be for the people who needed an extra incentive to help out. But it would also be perhaps difficult to organize and promote. Just thinking out loud, I guess..................
