RE: VAMPS on US TV?
I remember quite some time ago, LOVE ADDICT was aired on US MTV. I was told by some people on the forum.

Having their music heard is the best way to promote them we did all we could with flyers and internet promotion etc but for them to be REALLY known people have to hear and see them and not just once or twice.
When love addict airs on MTV are there anyway we can request the video to be played? I dont really watch MTV so i dont know too much about what goes on with it. If love addict is a success on there maybe more and more PV's will be added and then maybe we might get some radio time.
I think those two things are what VAMPS desperately need and of course us fans here to back them up and keep requesting their videos/songs as much as we can along with keeping up with the internet promotion.
Maybe we could write concert reviews on some music website or something? That way people could read just how awesome VAMPS are live.
I think it was posted on another thread that it already aired??? I also personally never hear anyone talk about MTV anymore and I work with a lot of youth.
So...how did everyone here learn about VAMPS/Hyde/K.A.Z/L'arc, etc? From manga to anime to jrock to ? That seems to be the usual progression of most people who I have talked to.
I see a lot of youth in my part-time jobs. I am going to start casually asking them where they hear about new music. If you are in the same situation, you could do the same. That way we would get an idea of where to put/link VAMPS info. Links to their site from vampire discussion areas might help. ????
We have more time to start promoting. A bumpersticker with I'm a VAMPADDICT and the website link would be easy for starters. Bookmarks with a vampire theme and the link could be left lying around. Vampires are hot items right now so their name fits right in with the craze. Hopefully we can capitalize on that fact.
I still wear my VAMPS street team shirt when I go out and my t-shirt that I made and I plan to continue to do so. Once in a while, someone asks about it and I am always happy to explain.
The Wonder Girls (Korean, I know...not Japanese) who are the opening band for the current Jonas Brothers tour may help people realize that other cultures have music that Americans can listen to, also.

In terms of "LOVE ADDICT" being played on MTV, I think it will definitely help. However, given the fact that there is no information about it yet (i.e. when it will air, on which MTV, etc...), it will be hard to promote VAMPS that way. I mean, once we have the information, we can request the video like crazy. I created an account on mtv.com, maybe you guys should too? That way, we can start talking about VAMPS in the forums and stuff.
I also think branching out of the J-Pop/Anime circle and start visiting normal music sites could also help. I think it would be good to target new, different people. Since we've got time, we have more of an opportunity to "convert" people. *lol* Or, at least, let them know who VAMPS are. I think most of you know that was the problem the first time around: many, many people were ignorant about VAMPS & their music. I want to work on trying to change that.
Also, jumping off of cathb's question, for those of you who went to any of the shows (maybe even those who didn't), how did you find out about the tour to begin with? That way, along with cathb's question, we can better pinpoint what promotion tactics worked better than others.
