So it was the bands' decision what would be aired and what not? I thought it was the decision of the JITB guys.
Quote:but it would be great if they get it worked out before L'Arc's New Year's Eve show, which was announced in some of the JitB site messages after or near the end of the show. THAT i would even pay to see!
This morning when I saw Monoral's message on Vamprose I even thought how great it would be if they would show this year's Helloween as a live steam. That would be so awesome!!! If anybody reads this *waving*, you know what to do
.
Yes, according to MySpaceJP_ust (myspace Japan on ustream, on Twitter), the performers themselves, chose whether to allow their performances to be streamed.
That long post I made in the middle of the event (post #45, on page 5 of this thread), then reposted, was updates from Twitter, once I discovered that MySpaceJP_ust was announcing there, as performer after performer, only an hour or less before each performance, decided not to allow their segment to stream, or to only allow portions of it.
...that is, until finally, our Dear Heroes, along with MUCC, announced that they would allow their entire performance to stream ♥ Thank you again, you bloodstained Angels, Dear VAMPS !
My Heavens, you were delectable!
What I'd like to know is why these announcements were only made an hour before the performances? I'm sure the performers knew in advance, that the show would be streaming. And why JITB acted as if they had no idea this problem was occurring.
Throughout the event, Jack In The Box continued to make new announcements in both Japanese and English, and promote the stream, giving the link, as if nothing were wrong. Meanwhile, for all those hours, Jack In The Box ignored pleas from confused fans frantically posting to them, to ustream, and to myspace, internationally.
i didn't notice anything posted for the early skipped performances; LM.C, ZORO, Alice Nine. nor about skipping over Ling, Tosite, Sigure who hadn't even been posted on the schedule as of the previous day, i don't think. i had just a bunch of 'OOOOs' in that slot. honestly, i thought it might have had a lot to do with legalities of some sort as only ZORO of that bunch are signed to Maverick DC, i think. but then SID wasn't shown, and i didn't see an announcement for that either. haha, i too was trying to read(google) all of the twitter response's during the karaoke. i could have missed those announcements, it is true.
I assumed Becky fell into the category i was thinking the previous guests had slipped into. and i wasn't really dismayed by that skip, to be honest.

it was only when the message about Yuki and acid android only permitting the release of one song that i started rethinking. but, i wasn't surprised about him. as i said before, he didn't permit even photographs in one of the last JitB photobooks, i think it was summer 2009. too lazy to go check, sorry. he is almost notorious for that behavior, but usually with a reason, like was only doing cover songs or something like that...etc. remember in 2008, he played drums and Anis of MONORAL was session singer for the first act? there were no pictures or video on the site later for that one act only.
the message from TETSUYA and KEN was pretty specific to me. nope, we're not gonna play with you guys.

then SADS announced they would release 2 songs, and were going for supper now. haha!

that was pretty quickly followed by a message that VAMPS and MUCC would release their full performances.

yes, they are ANGELS, blood-stained, overworked but glorious in the energy they put in on each song. and MUCC was right in there too. i think it is no surprise that those are two of the most popular acts in recent shows.
SID is normally right in there with the members of MUCC as making up most of the session players in the winter shows, which is what surprised me so about their absence. that would have made a great ending for the what i still lovingly call the "geezer set", of the senior artists of the show and a segue into the last set.
i was also really shocked that TETSUYA and KEN, who had been rated very high aqt last year's shows , if fan reports are to be believed, refused to be aired. what possible reason was there for so many to pull back, at the last minute as Mme H. has kindly affirmed from the posts displayed? and i corroborate btw. i'd really love to see an explanation of just what the hell was going on. if i were a snarky kind of soul.....well, i'm not always, so i'll leave that unsaid and try to maintain a semblance of dignity.
