RE: VAMPS 5th Single "DEVIL SIDE" Guessing Game and Some Other News

When I first heard the chorus from the preview, I had high expectations for it. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed upon my first hearing of the full version. I decided to listen to it a few more times before I made any judgement to it. However, I'm still not fond of it. Perhaps it will take me a year to like it as it did with LOVE ADDICT for me.
Like someone mentioned earlier, the chorus seemed very forced in but it's somewhat catchy. The lyrics are okay... it's hyde so it's understandable. I have nothing against the PV (because of the hot girls!!!). and hyde kissing that one blonde chick? Yeah, I was surprised, but I was even more surprised that he didn't kiss a hotter girl. lol. But what I'm trying to say is that... for those who have a problem with what hyde did, you have to remember, he's FUCKING hyde, he does whatever he FUCKING wants. Sorry for the cursing but it's the best emphasis to describe the rocker side of him. Remember, outside of his rocker personality, he's gentle, nice, kind man. Please separate his personal and professional life.
Anyways, I have to hear this song live because as with most VAMPS songs, they are meant to be played and heard live, not from CDs.
Truth be told, the song is not for everyone. It's an amazing song, but way different than what I expected from the preview. In all fairness, I didn't know what to expect anyway.
After the song's newness has finally dried out, a lot of the flaws become painfully visible. But I still love the song.
Also, the people complaining about HYDE's man-slut persona displayed in the video... prepare for the controversy... PREPARE FOR THE CONTROVERSY... the people who complain about HYDE's rocker personality in the PV... WOULD NOT HAVE COMPLAINED IF IT WERE L'ARC =X - There I said it. @_@ - Although to be fair, at least the L'Arc equivalent of this song, HEAVEN'S DRIVE, shows more of L'Arc and not so many of the half naked girls. Anyway, I'm just saying that nobody complains when it's L'Arc doing something like this, but when it's -VAMPS- doing it: OMG HAET HAET HAET. Truthfully, I like the music video despite the abhorrent amount of focus on half-naked women over the band. From an artistic standpoint, it sets the mood very nicely. (In fairness though, I think HYDE looked more drunk than like a bad boy in the PV, lol)
Lastly, I think that HYDE kissed the girl not because of her beauty but because of how she stood out. I think the same principles apply to a lot of J-Rockers. To name a similar situation, Gackt's Saikai Story features a girl that is often criticized by fans for not being as pretty as Gackt deserves, but personally, I think that's what makes the song a bit more sincere. She may not have been someone you see a magazine, but from the way the video showed their relationship, their love was strong. Also, notice that HYDE didn't actually make contact with her lips, instead he goes below them.
