It's even worst when I tell them his age, they always think that HYDE is still on his 20's. Now that I think about it, it's an interesting way to make others notice his music. Actually at the beginning of my Japanese class one time- I showed a guy in class my background on my computer because he wanted to see some of the people my friend and I talked about a lot XD It was VAMPS at the time, being Hyde and Kaz with the grey-ish blue background... it was from a Monthly VAMPS, I just don't remember which one off the top of my head ^_^;;;
I remember his reply after I told him who it was, was basically "wait, that's a guy?" >>;;; I felt bad that I had no pictures of Mana on the computer to show him lol

Oh ROFL. My mother nearly strangled me when I showed her the haircut (that was from HYDE's FAITH tour pamphlet) I wanted because she thought it was a girl... and then she wanted to strangle me BECAUSE it was a male that (to her) looked like a girl. [Yeah, just so you know, I -am- exaggerating. That should save me a couple hundred comments on that "strangling" bit] I've also had some fun experiences with his age. Everyone I know thought he was, liek, 19 at the most. To me, that's a bit far fetched. 20's I'll accept, but not in his -teens.

But yeah, now that his hair's been styled and stuff, it looks pretty nice. I still have hopes to see it a tad longer in the near future though =P

Well, you also have to consider the amount of makeup he wears. In America, most male celebrities wear only enough makeup to cover their blemishes and imperfections, but HYDE really makes an effort to look not just decent, but truly and sincerely good. Compare the PV's of EVANESCENT and I GOTTA KICK START NOW. In the former, he wears a tad less makeup, therefore you notice a bit more of his age and his true skin tone. I think that's PROBABLY a visual metaphor, explaining how things change overtime. But in the latter, he wears a lot more makeup, so he looks a lot younger than he is.

Oh and because he's so skinny. In America, most males endeavor to be big and strong and girls try to look skinny and not so muscular, while HYDE only gets enough muscle to sustain a certain weight.

You never let us down ^^; I've done that to a few of my friends myself, male and female both, with Mana, Hizaki, Peggy Giggles, etc. They'll look at them and think, "DAYUM, DASS WUN HAWT PEESA ASS~" and then I'll reply something like, "Yeah, she's perfect. Perfect face, perfect boobs, perfect crotch..." and that's when they get the hint that they're actually males. ROFL. It's kind of a shame, because of all the half-naked women I see on TV everyday... I know what you're thinking, but shut the fuck up. I mean on commercials and shit, god >_> Sickos... anyway, of all the half-naked women I see everyday on TV, HYDE among other artists is hotter than every single one of them. =X

roflmao I haven't done that yet-- I remember going around my band class too tho with a pic of Hyde asking how old people thought he was... I think the shot was from the beginning of his solo career but he was still older than the 19 and 20s that I got as answers... it blew their minds when I said how old he was XD it was fun experience

but I have to agree with you, Hyde and quite a few other artists really are a lot hotter than most of the people you see on TV every day... especially the lead Twilight guy... He looks like so cadaverous that it's almost scary... he's not attractive at ALL. I swear people don't even look at the person anymore-- it's just "are they famous" and if the answer is yes along with (in the US with a few people I know) them being American, then that makes them hot...

It's fully justified. =x - Before I'd even heard of Twilight, I heard of all these crazy girls going "OMG, Edward is sooooo hot~" or "OMG HE'S MY BOYFRIENDZZ!!!!!11" So I kept wondering, "WHO THE HELL IS EDWARD?" When I finally figured it out and saw his picture, I figured that maybe I should start dating men, since every woman in the world has clearly lost their mind, lmao. Seriously, he looks like he and the producer of Twilight got in a mud-fight and then when they came out, the hair and makeup artist saw his unique "hairstyle" and thought "OMG YOU LOOK JUST LIKE A VAMPIRE! WE HAVE TO MAKE A LOUSY MOVIE ADAPTATION OF A SUBPAR BOOK WITH THIS!" That among other reasons is why I can't stand Twilight. I think aside from turning vampires into a fad for preps and jocks, I think I most hate a good percentage of the fans in general. Don't get me wrong. There are some people who love Twilight who I'm okay with, but then there are those who wear those lockets with Edward's picture in it, pretending he's their boyfriend. In my day, that would have been classified as a mental disorder, so I once said aloud, "What kind of mentally-impaired, crack-headed teenage girl would wear this?" ... Big mistake.

In short, a locket is something in which you place a picture of a special someone, not a fictional character. *opens up the locket worn across his chest, revealing a picture of HYDE and blushes merrily* ... Er... I HAVE NO PROBLEM >____>

Note: At least for me, when I saw HYDE on LA he still looked naturally HOTTT even with his make up.

I think is most due to his bone structure [damn Tyra Banks] and soft features. And I know a lot of girls being envious of him for that. He doesn't like it when people [reporters] comments a lot about his 'beauty' [I've seen that on some interviews on youtube].

I agree 100%!!! And I feel so happy to read people here that thinks the same about Twilight. Here I though that I was getting old...I mean...I used to be one Leonardo DiCaprio thing [I know...I know...] and then to Backstreet Boys..although the later is still a little on. So to see teenagers scream for a guy that looks...WEIRD, you know. ^^

Anyway, it just happened again. I had the brilliant idea to bring my mp3 @ work [I work on a pharmacy] and on my lunch break someone asked me about the PV [Evanescent] and they were like O.o

And then I spent my whole hour explaining the whole thing...even the pharmacists came and they started to rant about "the guy that [insert my name here] likes, but it's took hot to be a guy""

OMG, I love the song. Perfect song to come back on after a long absence. I don't like the PV quite as much though. Too much walking =x - At first, I thought maybe the walking was some kind of metaphor for the song's theme. The whole "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" sort of metaphor, you know? But no. Just... walking. :x - But I like the creativity in the scenery and clothing, though. Still sort of reminds me of a strange mixture between the Winter Fall and the Shine PV.
