RE: The topic that will cause contraversy and death for years to come
Yes! Hedelex, Nao, myself and others that attended the US tour from different countries are here to stay~ (right? xD) I'm glad we get to help each other and suffer together with every new product or misinformation. We are not alone anymore! ^^. Plus I think this fandom is less crazy than other Jrock fandoms. Miyavi for example is kinda creepy and selfish (for what I've heard and read about it), and although there are scary Hyde-Kaz-Vamps fans out there. At least the ones that post here are nice and friendly ^^ I value that a lot. (specially since most of my battle scars were made by people from Japan or people not in this forum X-X). Thanks for not hurting me guys T_T lol.

OMG Mamikochan! you got much hurt!! I'm glad you are better now. And ChibiChibi, the sunburns does count! they hurt XD
------------------
thanks Hedelex. i guess that's what happens when you aren't prepared for the side-ambush! next time i wear boots instead of sneakers. it was really just a couple of people oiut of the whole group, and they were not "locals" i'm afraid which unfortunately followed with some things others had written about other jrock shows and the FAITH shows as well. i was still surprised.
Chibi-chan, you should have used some of my spf 80 sunscreen. my face looked pink that day, but it was just the heat. i didn't burn or tan anywhere and i usually do both plus get a rash. didn't even get that, thank godness. i'm telling you ladies and lads, sun damage is no fun later on, use the sunscreen.
Oompa Loompas indeed!! and i got word mine did finally ship out yesterday. whew! what a hassle that became.
i'm glad to see others agree with me about this forum too. i'm just glad we can still gather here. it's nice too because it is a middle ground. it's the only place i know where there are folks who normally gather/post/chat/whatever in different places. i recognize a bunch of people from MySpace or LiveJournal, maybe Multiply, Pieces or Ark bbs, but there are some i see in no other locations but here. and that is great. plus it has become an international group too. i hope we can keep this going for a long time.
thanks Hedelex~ i wasnt used to the sun lol we were in winter in Australia so going from cold to hot days was a bit of a change lol XD
Mamikochan haha i prob shoulda used more sunscreen. I bought my own but it was horrible and greasy ughh so i tried to stay in the shade all day. But im really pale anyway so i did pretty well actually, i wasnt too badly burnt XD
and yeah thats so true sun damage is really bad. we have the highest rate of sun cancer here. so sunscreen is a definate must~

RE: The topic that will cause contraversy and death for years to come
In my case I started to listen HYDE back n 2006-2007 with Season's Call [as the Blood+ opening song] and then I started to look more about him. THEN I started to listen L'Arc~en~Ciel and then to VAMPS. And I feel the difference between the three, even when HYDE is the songwriter on all versions.
When he is solo his lyrics are very personal, while in L'Arc he is focused on the balance of the group [let's remember that the rest of the band puts the music] and in VAMPS he mixes the 'flow' between him and K.A.Z. which it ends in great chemistry.
And besides, I was glad to see that KAZ is so friendly and nice [I hadn't forget to say HOT] when I met them at the autograph session in LA. He was so cute that I wanted to hug hm like a teddy bear ^^
And as a side note, I'm glad to see this forum active. I felt so bad when I found that there was indeed a VAMPS Puerto Rican Street Team but it wasn't as active as this place. It was so bad that I found out that no one responded to my note about if anyone was going to the concerts...which was sad for me to not finding any puertoricans when I went to LA.
But thanks to this place I contacted with pretty nice people who went there and met such nice/crazy [on the positive way] fans that made it a great experience. Let's keep this place active so maybe VAMPS/HYDE/L'Arc~en~Ciel will finally consider to make their fan clubs international.
Thanks Everyone!

LOL, yeah! I hate lotion and sunscreen because they are greasy, but the doctor said I must wear sunscreen everyday and I got one that's strong and not greasy, you could ask a dermatologist, there are cool kinds of it :-D

I see where you're getting at with L'Arc. HYDE shows off only as much of his personality off as the other three members will allow him, which is why I've always preferred him solo, but I don't think HYDE's lyrics are any less personal in VAMPS than in his solo, even though he still has to accommodate for another person's song writing. The subject matter is very similar in both HYDE solo and VAMPS, in my opinion. The only difference being is that VAMPS is a tad more sexual... ah, hell. A -lot- more sexual than his solo work, but I have a feeling that that has nothing to do with VAMPS.
To be fair, though, a lot of his L'Arc~en~Ciel lyrics were extremely personal too. Anemone, anyone?

I think L'arc has a lot of personal lyrics. Specially since we have no idea what goes on in their minds when they write the song.
Is not like they intend for us to understand what a personal topic certain song is. "Ibara no Namida" for example for me sounds like a personal song. Since L'arc is not all Tetsu or all Hyde well they take turns to do songs for each of them and it turns out wonderful. But in a Sense is more formal maybe because of the Kioon - sony thing and what someone already said about Vamprose being an indie label.
Overall I think every song L'arc or Hyde or Vamps write has personal experience and their own lives as inspiration. But with Vamps the lyrics are not that "deep" in meaning. (I like them but I think most lack substance like L'arc lyrics have). It's hard to explain.. I just feel it that way . They are more Easy going fun lyrics (I mean Vamps not Hyde pre-vamps).

Very true D:
Quote:But with Vamps the lyrics are not that "deep" in meaning. (I like them but I think most lack substance like L'arc lyrics have). It's hard to explain.. I just feel it that way . They are more Easy going fun lyrics (I mean Vamps not Hyde pre-vamps).
O NO U DIDN'T - I don't know, I find them just as deep as HYDE solo and L'Arc. I think what a lot of people in the fanbase tend to think is that "deep" refers to only "romantic" or "sad." The difference between EVANESCENT and VAMPIRE DEPRESSION being a prime example. Many praise the former for being high in emotion and a very deep song, but not the latter for the same reason. To me, VAMPIRE DEPRESSION is very deep, but not deep in the same meaning as EVANESCENT, because that is supposed to be melancholy whilst VAMPIRE DEPRESSION is supposed to be more angry and frustrated, which is an emotion that prevails in both HYDE solo and L'Arc. MASQUERADE being an example as compared to SHINING OVER YOU, and also Revelation as compared to My Dear.
Basically, what I'm trying to say is that like all humans, HYDE is a person of many emotions. So the fun and easy going lyrics are just one of those many "deep" emotions just as much as EVANESCENT, SWEET DREAMS, My Dear, and every other song praised for its emotion as well as the more angry songs like VAMPIRE DEPRESSION, REDRUM, MASQUERADE, etc. Granted, I certainly don't find LOVE ADDICT or SEX BLOOD ROCK N' ROLL very deep myself, but someone might. Songs like HUNTING on the other hand are a completely different story, since they are show songs that could just as easily do good without lyrics. And like I've said in other places, that song is just a remixed version of the HELLO live intro that was played from 2004-2006 with lyrics added... well, what you might call lyrics anyway =P
But yeah, I think you get the point, lawl.
