It sounds like, through your infinitely wise decision-making, you're in no position to judge the bahavior of others at the show, because you weren't getting maliciously stepped on, pushed, elbowed, etc.

Unless you're saying it's common sense to expect someone to pinch you, grind their foot into the top of yours, pull your hair, etc? I've been to many many club & general admission shows and none of those things have happened to me.

The criticism should go where it belongs, to the people who were misbehaving, not the people who were being abused because they did what was expected.... got there first to line up. That's how society works, or at least, how it's supposed to.

Plus Sonar may not be sold out, but they've closed off two large chunks of the club now, so it might as well be, I think.

Agree! Besides, how do we all attending the Baltimore show make "good decisions"?
There is no balcony in Sonar (that I can see in youtube vids)...no safe haven!!!

Obviously, VAMPS put on a great show, but I think as fans we are all learning something from this. And it's NOT to "expect" this behavior from fans at other shows, rather to know it could happen, and more importantly to figure out how to possibly prevent it.

I'm gonna post something in the Sonar "safety" thread about this.
To spread the word...that fans want to enjoy the show to it's fullest potential not waste our most precious 2 hours defending/protecting ourselves.

Speaking of which, people were skipping the line around 12:00pm and 4:00pm. It was pretty unfair to the people (like myself) that got to the venue at 5:00am and were waiting for 15 hours at least~ Some people are just so inconsiderate. I really wish I could of gotten to the balcony; the view was a lot better up there and there was no pushing or shoving~ ;D

For the people who were on the balcony, what did the general area look like from above?

Ah, maybe they can open up then. If that's the case I hope the wall between the rooms is sound proof so we don't hear the other band. If the wall is moveable between rooms it might not be very tick??

I might expect some aggression at a heavy metal concert, but I really don't see VAMPS as aggressive/moshing music. I don't listen to really heavy music so I don't have any experience or know any stories from those type of concerts.

This will be my third concert, and honestly I was not expecting to hear reviews like this. I know there will always be some bad fans that people will complain about but the magnitude of aggression/violence surprised me. I don't know if I read it here or elsewhere but there was something about someones hair being pulled out and hairballs left on the floor?? That's not normal behavior!

The 06 HYDE concert was the first standing concert I went to and it wasn't that bad. I was expecting it to be pretty much the same.

I'm tendered headed so I hope no one tries pulling my hair out! I'll cry so much the room will flood.

Yes, there were hairballs on the floor. (It's me who wrote that freaking long boring review including the hairballs.)
It was very shocking to be in a crowd like that because it was very aggressive and no one was caring about the other crowd. I 'DO' go to the concert, and I know how to play on the general admission floor. Of course there will be some physical activity, but Saturday was just not acceptable.

I do understand the whole eagerness of the crowd wants to be closer to the stage, but most of people were lacking on a common sense, SAFETY. I really regret the fact that I had to write a bad review after a great experience and expectation. But it was my attention to prevent something unfortunate and unpleasant through this whole journey of VAMPS and all the fans. I just wish few of the people over here could raise some awareness and make upcoming event more enjoyable, but not painful. I'm especially worried more because most of the crowd is teenagers and I do not want them to grow up and behave aggressively everytime they go to a concert.

It's all about enjoying the thing, not competing with someone else.

But yeah, the line cutting happened because one of the guys in my group said he'd hold spots for like 2o0348u023 people and... that's just not cool. Because we were the 10pm the night before, then these 4 girls come around 4pm and say they've been there since 10am meanwhile none of us ever saw them. I just hate that, and I hate that it had to happen!!

maybe make a number count would be a good thing
like use marker to write on and use a list?
i hate that happen, but sometime i just line in early but leave for
a job then come back after.
