RE: Roll Call! Who's coming?
Heh, I hope people don't camp out over night or I'll be at the back of the line! There's no way I'm willing to sit out on the streets, in the dark in a place I've never been before.
Also, I would like to be awake for the concert! I won't sleep on the sidewalk, so if I camped out I would be up all night, and tired the whole next day. No, thanks. I want to be well rested and ready to rock.
They still haven't mailed me back yet, so I'm still not sure what their policy is. And I don't know the area so I don't know how safe it would be for a group of young, mostly female fans to camp on the sidewalk.

RE: Roll Call! Who's coming?
I contacted Sonar via twitter, and they don't have a line policy whatosever I'm begging them to make sure no one camps out the night before Hopefully it works, because as much as I'm all for fair chances, it's just not safe health-wise I (and probably most fans+staff) don't want to see anyone fainting from the summer heat or getting sick over this, period

They've never had a Jrock show before, have they? XD We're a bunch of nutters. Noon is quite the normal time for many of us, and is even considered late for many. XD

RE: Roll Call! Who's coming?
Yeah, I guess for American bands that you can see more often waiting an hour or two before a show in normal.
But for an overseas band you might get to see once in your life, people will line up for hours and hours. For me it will be my second time seeing him, but for others it may be their first. And they want to make sure they get a great view.
I won't camp overnight, so I hope not too many other people do. But if people DO camp overnight I hope they at least do it in a small group for safety. I wouldn't want two or three girls out there all night by themselves.

They're going to be in for a surprise then. I don't think too many people will camp overnight (I think usually only a couple people do that), but I do know that people will line up hours before the show. In SanFran I was in line for about 6 hours.
Damn, are they in for a surprise then. XD Yeah, for me, 6-7 hours for a show is normal. I tend to get in line around 11am for most shows...
But people will definitely be lined up hours before. By noon I except a decent number of people there already, easy. Especially since it's summer as well, and no one is in school. Not sure how many people will camp out overnight, but I know people will... I probably will, if all works out as planned. |D

If you do, make sure you're careful.
They twitter replied again:
Sonar Twitter Wrote:Sonar_Baltimore@tokio13 The venue is not in the best part of the city, though its not in the worst. Personally, I would not camp out though.
Sonar_Baltimore@HystericalDame The street is a public area, if people choose to camp out the night before there is nothing we can do. I'm sorry.

RE: Roll Call! Who's coming?
lol yeah, HystericalDame = me.
And please don't kill me for saying this, but I'm kinda pissed off at them right now I mean, if America's Top Model is making sure no one is lining up before 6AM, why the heck can't they do the same?! arrghhhhhh but it IS (as they said) a public street, so..oh well I'm just grateful that VAMPS is coming to the East Coast, and I got a ticket for their first show..that's all that matters...

I know how you feel. I've never seen Hyde/VAMPS before (and I'm doubting I'll be able to see them again)...I really hope that I can get at least somewhat close to the stage, but I'm far too afraid to camp out at night..
Btw, I've been scouting out the area in Google Earth, and unfortunately there isn't a street view of Saratoga St. I did get some screenshots from Gay St and Guilford Ave....does anyone know if this is Sonar (with the white on top)?

RE: Roll Call! Who's coming?
^ It could be..I've been searching flickr for the past few days, and didn't think to find pics of the outside until reading your post XD Still in the middle of looking, but found one..ish so far

It's blurry, but maybe we can try to find more (however obscure) and put the pieces together XD
Oh and looking at this next one (not blurry lol), it sorta looks like the area of your second screencap?
