But I'm not a tattoo girl at all.
He looks great otherwise though. He's aging well. But he/they shouldn't drink too much because I don't think alcohol is good for the skin.
Yeah, he should quit drinking with Aki for starters and also give up the smoking. That really affects your skin....not to mention other body parts. We want him around for a long time.
-----------------
smoking and drinking together can really age the skin. just drinking...maybe not so much. second-hand smoke is still detrimental. suntans do more towards aging you. however, didn't Hyde say on the Mu-jack tv show that he had finally quit smoking, thanks to the inspiration of KAZ, who quit after his broken heel? (there's probably a clip on YouTube. too late to go look.)
he's complained a lot about "getting fat", even wearing baggier clothes to some of the promo appearances in Japan. that also happens when you quit smoking.
Hyde and KAZ are both blessed with good genes. a lot of rockers start losing a bit of their appeal in their 40s. i don't think you need to worry about these 2.
we'll have to see how the new tattoos and the ear piercing fad look when they get here. hopefully they stopped that one. nippley piercings are fierce!!! XD
oops, reverse order.
Drinking is just as bad as smoking is on your body. People who drink in excess age their bodies quicker just as someone who smokes a lot does. Make no mistake alcohol is just as much an "aging" thing as smoking is. Drinking not only ruins your liver, kidneys and other internal organs it also damages your brain. The reason you get that "drunk" feeling when drinking is because alcohol narrows the blood vessels in your brain, thus cutting back the oxygen produced to your brain. Thus mild brain damage, because your brain NEEDS oxygen to keep going. Also your cheeks get flushed and your eyes get red, because the vessels get closer to the skin because they have constricted. While smoking yes is bad, it doesn't do near the damage internally as drinking does. Smoking effects your lungs yes but it does not affect your brain nor your ability to make proper judgment. Sorry to go off on this but it kind of rubs me the wrong way when people say smoking is worse than drinking. There is a reason they have AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) and not TA (Tobacco Anonymous) Because addiction to alcohol is 10 times worse than addiction to tobacco.
Yes Hyde quit smoking cigarettes but he still smokes cigars. So technically he still smokes, just not cigarettes. Where as Kaz, I don't know if he quit fully or has started again. Quitting after smoking for so long is hard to do. I really wish they'd quit drinking however. But it is their lives and they can do what they want since they are of drinking/smoking age.

RE: XD Hyde 21? 24?
^ Yeah, you can usually tell who drinks a lot. Even when they're sober, I think people who drink a lot will have somewhat waxy looking skin with flushed cheeks.
Alcohol is a terrible drug when abused, and unfortunately heavy drinking is 'cool' and encouraged these days.
Does he still smoke cigars? I know after the cigar thing he was seen (one of the photoshoots, I think) with one of those fake cigarettes that people use to quit smoking.
I know that after awhile you start to get your sense of smell/taste back, I wonder if that will affect how much he loves soba XD He'll be able to taste it now!
Regardless of smoking/drinking he still looks pretty good for his age. Though, now I'm curious as to what he would have looked like at his age if he never smoke/drank in his life.

Uh, it depends.
I agree that excessive alcohol consumption and alcoholism do terrible things to our bodies, minds and society...but just a minority of alcohol consumers have a drinking problem. Wine and beer are rich in antioxidants, so moderate consumption can bring benefits to our health. I can't say the same thing about tobacco, though...it's true that the more you smoke, the worse it is, but even ocassional smoking causes damage to our bodies. I wish it was just the lungs, i'm far more concerned about vascular disease (permanent narrowing of vessels of your whole body) and myocardial infarction...btw, smoking also affects your brain: by cerebrovascular disease and by inhaling carbon monoxide (present in tobacco smoke). Almost forgot: alcohol doesn't narrow your blood vessels, it's a known vasodilator indeed (flush = dilation of skin vessels)
I'm a doctor and i don't like alcohol that much, so i don't have a personal agenda...i just adhere to the medical consensus that tobacco is one of the worst things ever.
I haven't seen Hyde with those ugly cigars lately, so i hope it was just a phase to quit smoking completely.

Sorry I am going off very little sleep so I got it slightly wrong. No matter alcohol is just as bad as tobacco. I'm not going to argue on the subject or debate personal feelings etc on this. I will agree with Tokio that it is "cool" to drink heavily now days. Which is sad.
I thought he still smoked them? Maybe not. I'm not up on Hyde's smoke of choice LOL.

iceybabes, of course BOTH are extremely detrimental to the body. to be honest, as someone who did smoke just as many years as Hyde or probably KAZ have done, even managing to quit for several years before "picking up the habit" again, tobacco addiction IS as tough to deal with as alcohol for some people. there are various step plans for tobacco-holics, just not under a big label like AA. the AA system is used for every possible addiction known in some place or other.

woo, another inflammatory subject. thank you MadSerena for explaining the medical standpoint more clearly. i have not the adequate words anymore. what i do have is COPD. SUCKS people. especially when you have various factors that predispose you to acquiring the other less desirable side-effects of years of tobacco use. no question, years of alcohol use are just as hard on the body. thank god i only had to deal with food and cigarette cravings. alcohol is a truly take it or leave it kind of thing for me, but i've seen it's effects in various family members and close friends over the years. >.<
truthfully, i don't know what KAZ and Hyde really do, consume or think. i haven't seen any recent, meaning last 2 months, photos of either one with tobacco in hand of any sort. *shrugs* my interpretation of the Mu-jack comments were based on a googled translation of a chinese sub. who knows what was really said. o.O

There are pictures of them here. I think they're quite nice - I like the simplicity (thick, bold lines, no shading) and the placement near the elbows (balances out the wings, imo). Of course, I don't know if he's planning to get them colored or not (although, if it were me, I'd leave them as-is).
