Although he is long dead, but I think he deserved to get one's position here.

Yeah, That's why I can't undestand why AKB48 is in better position than Hyde, I don't hate them or anything like that, it's just... seriously? what's so influential about them?

Well it's only natural you'll be unhappy with the position. Just remember it's only opinion. No different to mine or yours.

Personally hyde and Yoshiki or hide should be in the top 50 atleast.

Is there actually any historical person listed in this chart? I have the impression the people voted more for persons that are CURRENTLY POPULAR in Japan than for persons that are/were really influential. I mean, on 2 is a popular baseball player (Ichiro) and on 10 a popular football player (Honda), there are teenie idols, currently well known politicians, talk show hosts (?) and such in the list... I really don't know how influential these people acually are.

I think this result is less objective.
Although I'm pretty disappointed, but whatever the result.
For me, HYDE is the most influential person in my life so I became like this.
And HYDE is my main inspiration.

You are probably right......and Ponyo is glad to know that Miyazaki ranked pretty high.

I guess this ranking was more popular vote based than anything else. Yoshiki should be among the first 50 if anything x_x (the guy has businesses all over the world in all kinds or areas from credit cards with his face to wine).

I was all indignant about this list myself, till I realized that it's not some professionally compiled list, with any objective criteria. It's just an Internet poll on some popular websites. What demographic is most influenced by Arashi and SMAP! hahaha-ahhhh

Right , on 19. That's at least something . But really, where is Gackt? I am aware that not everybody loves him like me , I know some people even say they "hate" him, but can you deny his influence????? Hello??? For a lot of people Gackt was the starting point for the whole world of J-Music.
