i have very contradictory and ambiguous feelings about all of these issues. like i started my L'Arc collection years back with some downloads because i couldn't find them any other way. but you know how addictions grow, i eventually found ways and means to carefully collect the recorded material and started on dvds and printed stuffs. now i don't know where to put things anymore, but they are like treasures to take out and enjoy for me, not static items in a museum. it's not like i have a lot of money to spend on these things, i don't at all. but this is what i sacrifice other things for. and so i might feel that reluctance to share what is dearly bought, but at the same time it is so good that i'd love to just throw it all out there for everyone to enjoy.

it is probably a good thing that i don't have the stamina required for me to be "generous" as i feel the urge to be as i really think the artists deserve to receive a bit of bounty for their hard work too.

eeh about the link .. i just feel that i need to share it to others right now as comparation to rumble that came up after almost two month. i just hope someone will be generous enough to opload the whole concert maybe in 3 month later? i'll wait patiently

that's why i prefer they came out with DVD than doing this paid streaming. i can do nothing with paid streeming .. even for freelive streaming since my net is sucked or i'll absoulutely gonna missed it cos my job, if they just release the performance physically at least i can just rob a bank or something to get this performance. but's thats new era about .. people pay with wired money to get digital stuff.

for this live, i don't think i got the feeling more than the freelive, it's paid streeming rite? it should be better than free. but still to early to judge the performance just from two songs.

hey tekki, i agree with you about dvds vs paying for live streaming that i may or may not be able to capture and watch again if i'm home, or awake [half a world away-->13-14 hour difference] or can figure out how to make the payment transfer work in time etc..... with a dvd, even if i have to wait months or even years (L'7), i can eventually have it to watch until i wear it out and can share it with my girls when they visit, which is a treat for us.

but so goes the world. hopefully we will see BETTER streaming quality, so one doesn't have to juggle between sites for decent reception if this is going to be a continuous thing.

Yeah this is really raspy....I love Hyde but for some reason he tries too put in too much growling into his songs...I love his growls, but too much of a good thing is a bad thing in this case...and with him being a smoker he's gonna damage his voice and get polyps and crap so he won't be able to sing at all anymore. Please Hyde!!!! Protect your voice!! Drink lots of water!! Don't use your throat!!! I can't ask you to stop smoking because that's an exercise in futility, but do what you can! We love you and want you to perform forever!!

I hope he doesn't do too much raspy stuff at Avalon :/

i thought he said on Mujack tv show last spring and in interviews/mcs he quit smoking early last year. (he credited KAZ because he had quit after he fractured his foot) well, he said one time after the Halloween live of 2008, but he did the cigar thing which wasn't quitting, then he went on the fancy "fake cigar" thing and chupa pops were all over the backstage areas and he apparently stopped. did he start back or something? he's been talking this summer about how lucky he is to not have had any problems yet, like the polyps.


please tell me if i have been thinking the wrong thing for the past year and a half....(he didn't smell like cigarettes, nor did Kazu...not that i tried to ~smell~ them last year! )

Don't worry, y'all, he definitely quit smoking. There hasn't been a relapse.

i am glad he quit. both of them, really. so did i at about the same time, well Thanksgiving 2008..for the ___ time, each lasting from 1 to 8 years. *pats self on back.*

Yeah, I think Ken tried to quit at the same time but only made it around a week or so before he went back. I can't imagine him on stage without a cigarette hanging from his mouth.

Lol, this is nothing new for HYDE's performances. I know HYDE can sing better if he really wanted to, but to me, it doesn't matter too much. He can sound like a dying whale for all I care as long as the album version sounds good and that the live is FUN. That's what a concert should be, in my opinion: Fun. Not very many musicians seem to take this practice, though. In fact, HYDE and Ozzy Osbourne are the only two people I know that place fun over the vocal quality during lives.

Anyway, yeah, to sum it up, I don't mind the vocals in this @3@ - Also, as stated above, HYDE has quit smoking. CONGRATS TO HIM! ^^
