WTF Near The Projector?

I intended to ask this when I got back from Baltimore, but during the concert, my father said there was some kind of aroma or something near the projector that was making him feel ill. So we moved further away near the fan in the venue. So I was wondering if anyone else felt that or have any explanations as to what was going on near the projector that may have caused something like that?

At one of the west coast shows someone had incense that could be smelled. Perhaps that was it.

I didn't see anything like that in Baltimore. That doesn't mean it wasn't there, of course, but I just didn't see it.
